I have been tempted to get the AMP kit, how does it look?
Ryan, first impressions look good, it is short run so don’t expect a Tamiya shake and bake build and there are no locator pins but everything is there including pe. The casualty pods are made from clear parts, cockpit looks nicely detailed including pe harness and the kit has markings for one each of RAF (two tone camo), RCAF (yellow) and USAF (olive drab)
@Littorio, those are some nice scores! Really like the Sikorskis!
This arrived yesterday in the mail. It comes in individual slab forms that can be arranged in what configuration you prefer, then paint up. The perfect base for my Cold War Red Air Force
I don’t like you anymore HAHA. Nice score.
Thanks to the admin of the french forum master194 who sold me these 2 revell 747
And from a visit at my local shop, I got this huge A380
I waited far too long to pull the trigger on one of these kits, and feared I might never get the chance, but courtesy of a local Facebook BSS Group I scored one at quite a reasonable price.
The seller even included a nice reference book with it!
Really looking forward to add in this one to my Sopwith Camel Project.
Cheers, D
Nice Score D
Came in yesterday… kind of “plane’y” too
D - nice ! I have that kit as well . Collective build time of stash has definitely exceeded my projected likely life span . This might be an interesting thread
What are the top “ must build “ kits in your stash …
Cheers - Richard
Definitely a great topic for discussion Richard. Along with that, what is your “Magnum Opus” build? What is the project that you are striving for, that has driven your desire to learn new techniques and products to get to the point where you are ready to tackle “The One”?
I would love to see the responses to these topics.
Cheers, D
And a new add to my Harrier stash with the Span AV-8S Matador
Forgot to post these up.
A few bits for Beaufighters including a DAP Mk.21 conversion, a box of 3 of my personal favourite mark of Spitfires and one I was not sure where to post.
Yep 1/700 V-1, 4 x V-1’s, 2 x launch ramps, 4 x pe handling trolleys and due to this being one of the first 500 boxes it came with bonus clear exhaust cones.
These kits were not even near my wish list but with 20 % discount they went into my stash yesterday. At first I didn’t even read what’s written in the upper right corner of the Magister … Nice bargain!
Oh I do like that Firefly! A good looking attack/heavy fighter type!
I’ve had a few new items arrive over the past couple of weeks, so now I have enough worth posting…
First up, for the Academy 1/48 Hawker Hunter that I’ve had in my stash for ages, a cockpit set to replace the very under scale kit parts.
Then this nice old Accurate Miniatures 1/48 US ordnance set to correct or change some load outs on a few of my future builds… always nice to have!
and last but not least, a new improved more accurate better replacement for the Hobbycraft La-5FN that I built last week for my great nephew…
That’s all for now…
Needed some paint for my upcoming Me-262 build for the twin engine fighters campaign and of course needed some other goodies to get free shipping. I’ve been after a nice P-40 for a while now so decided to add one
How are the clamps
That’s a good question. I tacked them on because I keep forgetting to get clamps and needed them for free shipping.
I’ll have a chance to test this out this weekend though, I’ll report back
They do a pretty good job over here in Armor-Land. I have both the 3" (SM) and 7" (LG) sets.
Good to hear, they had positive reviews when I checked
