Woohoo! Went through the kit one more time to make sure the exhaust wasn’t stuck in some other part. Some of the kits from this local store are from the owners personal collection. He must have noticed the popped off exhaust and smartly taped it to the bag with the clear parts so it wouldn’t get lost. Kit is compete!
That’s what I always say: Don’t buy online with Amazon or from China. Support your Local Hobby Store as much as possible. Most of my kits come from my LHS which is about 100 km away. We have none in my city anymore. Some of my Eduard kits I order directly at the Eduard Online Shop, so no one earns money in between. So I support them as well.
The only time I don’t support local is when he doesn’t have the kit. He has a ton of really cool, hard to find kits but can’t carry everything. But If he has the kit, I’ll pay a bit extra if I have to just to buy from him. He is a great guy to deal with. I’d bet my life savings no Amazon order is gonna have parts taped to the baggie so they don’t get lost
Doing a little digging around, I’ve found that the only recorded incident of an A-4 air-to-air kill was on May 1st 1967. An A-4C of VA-76 flying off the USS Bon Homme Richard. With a Zuni rocket!
VA-93 doesn’t seem to have seen much action while on the Bennington. At least from what I can find.
So, as I suspected a complete piece of fiction from Airfix. But I suppose that the idea of this is to interest and excite younger modellers, so I can’t be too harsh. I do like the colour schemes on both aircraft and they’re very welcome additions.
Thanks, sorry I’m a bit late. Forgot to post that yesterday, I got those 2 from my club for 2€, I’m glad I’m dervisifying and today my dad otrdered those 3, I paied for 2, the SAS will have a what if intèrior base on boing brochure

If you guys have never built the Tamiya P 47 you are in for a treat - another one of their engineering wonders like their later Tony and Lightning . Just a joy to assemble.
It might be next addition! I’ve picked it up a handful of times at the hobby shop only to put it back down and grab something else. It looks like a superb kit
