Gasp! That’s a real unicorn you’ve landed there Dennis. I remember reading a review a while ago and it sounds like a real dog of a kit, so best of luck to you.

Edit: Also Dennis, you need to build it as RL-202. :alien::woman_fairy::dragon::paw_prints::full_moon: (sadly there’s no tinfoil hat emoji)

You’re talking to an actual Arrow conspiracy theorist :joy:

After moving to Texas I needed a new LHS. Found G&G model shop in Houston. Decent store with some cool displays. Picked up these two. The canadair was a impulse buy. The Mk VIII will be my second try at this bird, after binning the dumpster fire ICM mk viii. I can already tell this kit will be much nicer to build. Looks like I also got a goodie thrown in by someone. It’ll be my first eduard kit and man these profi pack kits look great

That Sabre should make for an interesting build. Lots of fun marking options.

Of you want to get real crazy, you could do the Golden Hawks livery.

Didn’t you have a family member that was a ground controller for interceptors?

I’m currently researching that as we speak! I definitely plan to dispense with the kit markings and do a Canadian bird. Same with the MK VIII actually.

Yup, my grandpa was a radar operator during the Cold War. He worked way up North on the DEW line, in the NORAD sister base to Cheyenne mountain in North bay and in gander. Sadly he lost his hearing due to operating radar for decades and I never got the chance to have a long conversation with him about his service. I would love to do one that was stationed at North bay

You will like the Eduard Spit, I promise you that. I’ve build the Mk. IX in US colours some years ago. I think I don’t go too far when I say, that Eduard is state of the art at the moment. There’s no kit coming out of Obrnice which isn’t great. You’ll get addicted to their kits. Just like I did …

I should have followed the buy once, cry once mantra. This kit was double the icm one in price, but looks much nicer in the box, and with the PE, masks, and resin cowl included that’s really a steal

I’m excited to build it, if it goes well I’ll likely add a bf-109 down the road

I’ve built a few of their 109’s already. If you like check out my Utti Air Racer build (FiAF “Mersu”) from 2020 on the old Aeroscale side

Despite promising myself I wasn’t going to buy anything till I had built some things (how many times do we tell ourselves that?), I came across Hobbyboss’s Jaguar A on evilbay and couldn’t resist. Some of the photos and reviews I found online all sounded promising.

Looks good in the bags. Nice detailing and sharp moulding.

The real surprise though is the huge selection of ordnance they threw in. Atlis pod, 400kg LGB’s, 250kg bombs, Beluga CBU’s, Magic AA missiles and BAP120 runway cratering bombs. Loads for the spares box. There’s also a TV guided Martel, but I don’t think the Jaguar carried that version. Have seen plenty of photos of them carrying the anti-radar, just never the TV. I can always find a home for that on a Buccaneer.
Looks like a very promising model in the box. Hope it builds up well and has no accuracy issues.

Nice airplane that Jaguar. I have one in the shelf also.

Today’s delivery. Eduard PE for the Italeri A-10C

Thanks Nacho. The Jags one of my favourites.

Looks like you’ll be busy with all that etch! Be well worth it all.

Oh man… the CF-105 Arrow… that and the TSR in 1/48 are two that are high on my wish list. Both look straight out of some Gerry Andersen 70’s TV series, but we’re cutting edge technology reality.

Well, another eBay score has arrived.

I had been wanting this kit for awhile.
