We had our contest yesterday on aviation won out in the swap haul. 4 out the 6 items. The pe was for the 1/72 Mi-26.
Hellcat extras
EMB-314 extras
Not a new kit this time, but a reference book for that Flying Fortress.
Lots of very useful information inside. Photos, diagrams of antenna locations and what’s supposed to be inside the bomb bay.
Will have to start reading it before I tackle the model. Seems to have been fitted with all sorts of interesting kit, especially those IR sensors in the nose.
TOOOLLLLZZZZZZZZZZZZZ
Impulse buy from one of my LHS’s on the way home. Only nipped in for a gloss black paint.
An oldie but it should build up well. The moulding looks like it’s held up well over the years. Not much sign of any scratches or blemishes that often plagues these older kits. Hardly any flash either.
The decal sheet looks very nice too.
Now, iirc this kit is not actually a production version of the Jetstream, but a proposed aircraft. Looking at the parts at the parts and instructions it looks like a casevac aircraft?
Will interesting to see what I can do with it.
Nice looking kit! Every time I nip in somewhere or even online for a small purchase I leave with something else ! Went to order an enamel wash the other day, left with 3 washes and a new kit
Ha ha! Only went in for paint is a lie we tell ourselves!
It’s putting money in their tills and keeping them open.
Where did you get the Rosie from?
I was searching online for them and found out that Peter Dousek passed away and they may cease production
Hi Raj,
I get many of my tools from UMM-USA. You can even contact John if you have questions. Good prices too.

Hi again
Many thanks to Andy for forwarding a very exciting package from Eduard
The Wurger will be another entry in our Steffen Arndt tribute build later this year. In the meantime, watch out for reviews of both samples soon.
All the best
Rowan
The MIG is for the Eduard campaign later this year. And well, you can never have enough Albatros, can you?
Nope! Both awesome kits.
Oh lots of goodies here! It’s always nice to see what everyone else manages to acquire for their modeling pleasures!
Over the past couple of days, the mailman brought these two Zoukei Mura aircraft display bases that I had ordered.
First up is a 1/32 US WWII thru Vietnam era wooden carrier deck. Too bad that they did the colors wrong, as US carrier flight decks were never in natural wood. Pre war had Mahogany stain, during WWII they were stained Blue, and post they were Dark Gray and Non Skid Black depending upon the area of the deck. So I’ll need to repaint this one.
Then I also ordered this 1/48 US “Supercarrier” type deck, which is beautifully detailed!!! No changes needed, aside from perhaps the addition of an arresting cable, as they did provide one anchor point for one end.
and of course I had to do a quick photo with an aircraft in place…
Those bases look very cool!
Those decks are fantastic!
Might have a look at those. Do they do other scales, I mostly do 1/72.
Very nice bases, Carlos! How much are they?
Thanks guys. The bases do help the builds for “presentation”.
@phantom_phanatic - I have yet to see any bases by Z-M in 1/72, only 1/32 and 1/48 so far.
@black widow - with shipping, the bases were around $30 each.
That’s a fair price. I paid between 20 and 25 Euros for my 1/48 bases. But that was about 10 years ago.
Had this one arrive today. Built one a few years ago for a campaign but when I moved to a new state this year it didn’t make the journey in one piece. So…I got another one.
Thanks,
Randy
Interesting @Harv. I’ve often wondered how this kit builds up.
