Thanks. Have you built it?

I had the old Cutting Edge resin set but it seems like this new 3D printed and injection kit is much better.

Got my new custom Blue Thunder 1/10 scale decals from tailormadedecals.com today - he does a lot of stuff for RC.

Startet it and stopped. But I’m sure you’ll be fine!

Found a really nice little model shop in Portmadog on our break.
Lots of interesting stuff, but had to resist on spending too much. I did however buy this:

Should make an interesting addition to my bombers collection.

I never understood why the companies produce aircraft always in 1/32, while military armor is in 1/35 …

Me too. Monogram had a line of 1/32 scale Armor decades ago. I wish they would of continued it.

I think they did but the Japanese decided 1/35 was better or something and everyone else followed suit. As @Elefant6 Micheal says Monogram and also Airfix did produce 1/32 vehicle kits back in the day, Airfix also did figures.

I remember building the Monogram T-34 as a kid.

The 1/32 range of figures and vehicles was quite big. Especially if you take into account the historical figures (54mm which is close to 1/32) and snap-fix vehicles. It’s curious that they never ventured into 1/32 aircraft.
I picked up a lot of the WW2 figures and a couple of vehicles when they reissued them a few years ago. Remember the British infantry were among the best. The Germans and Americans were let down by comical toy like guns!

Little shopping during SprueBrothers Hasegawa sale. I was missing a 767 from my airliner collection - and I like the military version. This will compliment my KC-135R - though a different scale. The 3d decals are for my AH-1Z and that glowing sun florescent orange is supposed to be for my Tide NASCAR but man… I don’t know.

[…] Way brighter in person

Continuing with my recent interest in the Iran-Iraq War, got these two this week.

Interesting stuff. Really must find the time to build one of each.

I have a tomcat for an Iranian tomcat build. I’ve been thinking about it for a couple of years.

Just came in from the UK…

The Tomcat really does look good in the desert colours and the later blue cammo.
While I have no love for the regime, I have to admire the determination and ingenuity of the Iranian Air force in keeping them flying for so long. Especially after logistical support was cut.

Just got a new little toy.
But I can’t help but wonder if I can modify this 1/33 scale RC Gyro Chopper’s guts to fit inside Monograms 1/32 scale Blue Thunder model?

Arrived a few days ago. Ukrainian made. Build reviews said there are some tight fits. That’s good compared to “large seams” to be filled.

When ever I see a F86 I can’t help but remember the cheap balsa gliders we had as a kid that were flat F86 fuselages with flat straight wings with blue printing on them.
