RP Toolz Miter Cutter
The RP feels solid, precise and well made. Comes with a spare blade and allen wrench.
Being able to lock the angles and lock the fence is a massive improvement over this old $15 knock-off chopper. It couldn’t lock angles and required taping a fence in place.
With the RP basic cuts are easy and accurate. Be sure to align on the blade not the printed grid line.
The yeild for chopping sheet styrene seems 99% + compare to the old chopper which was ~65% due to poor repeatability.
Angle cuts look true and parallel.
Being able to accurately cut plastic tubing is critical for my applications.
Chopping plastic tubing to make smoke grenade launchers or S-mine launchers is challenging. If the chopper has slop, the task is nearly impossible.
Previous solution was a jig with razor blade. It had ~50% yeild much better than the old chopper.
The fixtures on the RP are first rate. Looks like ~90% + yeild.
Stunned by how easy these were to chop.
