Like you I feel the need for another set for things like my armor Star decals and other decals and bits for autos. Have way too many aircraft decals to use this system.
first up, the railroad flatcar for the Jagdpanther that I bought last month turned up in another box of the late owner’s collection… mostly built… the executors brought it in to IPMS last night for me
they also threw in the Panzer III M that was mostly built and just needs some little bits added then move on to painting… no charge to what I had paid for the three previous purchases
and then a guy brought in this Flak 18 that Ive been wanting since it was first released. I couldn’t haggle him down from his asking price, but it was still a good chunk off retail, so I’m happy
and then the postman brought in these two online purchases for a couple projects that I have in planning…
What a treat! I ordered this on EBAY, not long ago from a company called Sabre Models, who I have not heard of before. This is now on my soon to be built list.
I’ve built a few of the old Panda MATV’s - not an easy kit, but a vehicle I like, and have enjoyed building up. I’m curious to find out first, how this kit goes together, and then if it just shares basic looks with the MATV, or if it is a significantly different vehicle (I realize that it is an altogether different vehicle - and not an MATV - more curious about relative scale and running gear etc).
Oh, this kit is light years ahead of anything Panda. This kit is a modelers fantasy in a box. You will completely fall in love with this kit and enjoy building it from beginning to end.
@SSGToms , that’s great news! thanks for the info. I went a bit nuts, and bought two of these kits, as they were not too expensive - tho of course, right now I don’t remember what they cost…perfect.
I want to build one up as the JLTV-UTL (pickup), and am looking forward to getting after it.
Have heard really good things about the “new” Academy so decided to give them a shot. These kits are really extremely nice. Comparable to Tamiya. Excellent molding, engineering, and detail. Not the usual Academy fare!
