I was Told SWEDES only like HERRING. Very Large Herring. Not bananas. My Wife likes Chili Dogs by the way.
Nah, that information is a red herring …
Some of us like chili though
This beaut came in today. Tin box, figures, lotsa parts, flexibele resin tires (The first time I actually see them in the wild, after reading about them)…
It looks great
!!!
Bit of a Landrover theme happening here what with @BootsDMS AK kit! This arrived today:
Some inspirations for my small stash of these amazing vehicles.
And also, a few days ago, this one arrived, secondhand, originally published in 1974.
I bought this book back in the day and it was then (and still is) an amazing insight into all the european armies during the height of the cold war. I somehow lost it some years back (my ex wife and a skip were involved if I recall correctly) and got the chance to pick up a copy up for £3! Orders of battle, uniform details, insignia, org structures and equipment. Well worth it IMHO. A real nostalgic trip down memory lane. Happy days!!
Funnily enough Terry I found my copy the other day; 'thought it was long gone. All inspiration for some Cold War modelling; I certainly feel a Land Rover and Trailer combo is due, courtesy of the AK model and the fact that I’ve an Accurate Armour trailer in my stash - was destined for a LWB version representing yours truly at Brigade HQ - but I think the AK 6 Armd Bde one will now take precedence. Not quite sure when though.

To me border model is one of the best, this one looks great too. Is the metal-barrel just in the first release or is it always? I think I remember that many of their 1/35 tanks have metal parts too
Not sure if the limited edition only comprises the metal box and figures or that the barrel is also part of the package…
Arrived yesterday and will go on the OIF/GW2 section of the stash. Now to sell the HobbyFan conversion set
I want to see how the Takom T-55AD goes together. I have a MiniArt T-55 on my stash and the sheer parts content is scary.
Today I have read in an article that there will come a sdkfz 251 in 1/16 in august from " das werk " too. If you order now it’s 99,-€ so I think I will have both
Picked up two newer Tamiya kits at the hobby store last night, KV-2 and M3 Scout Car. No photos as they were smuggled in.
Buying stuff without telling the Mrs. You a brave man.
I have a few brownie points coming up with new flooring and painting of the office/hobby room. That is until we have to pull everything out of the hobby room. Ugh, that going hurt. Good things she doesn’t know what everything costs cause then I am a dead man walking. Y’all be able to clean up at my estate sale.
I have built the scout car. It was a nice kit. I’d like to do it again.
I have ordered the Def Wheels but on the fence about the Eduard set for that kit. It looks ok but not sure it gives enough return on the effort, any insight?
