Nice! Did you have to sell your wife, house and dog like I did for mine?
That’s a bit steep - they coulda let you keep the dog!
I know; bastards!
Pretty much. The house seems a little empty and the dog and I will miss her…but…that is the price you pay. ![]()
tongue flick NOICE!
TBH, the DDR crumbled pretty quickly, over the course of a few months, really. Sure, it then took a year until reunification, but I would kind of expect information to become available more easily after late 1989 than before it.
What kind of fastenings are you talking about here? The clasp at the front, the two buckles on the back, the little loops on the inside for the hooks to adjust the belt length?
Here we go - re belt:
First used on the British pat '37 webbing belt (and subsequently on the '44 pat and '58 pat and even beyond(!))
Ordered about two weeks ago direct from Asuka in Japan, delivered this afternoon:
Most of this is to build a 105 mm HVSS Sherman using a whole bunch of other parts I already have (the M4A1 upper hull is for another idea entirely, though) and some bits and pieces for other models I have in mind.
Hi !
I’m currently building that 9P138 Grad-21 on Zil-131.
It’s a very nice kit.
Just be aware of the support metal shaft that connects the launcher to the chassis,
and the plastic parts that go inside…it gets fragile and I broke mine after few attempts at fitting everything.
I’ve also did that Academy M1151, very nice kit, easy to build, no issues.
If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it. ![]()
Discovered the cutting shear chipped and bent on my $80 Meng nippers. No idea how it happened. They gouged the plastic unless the nip was made half way down the blade.
Had to replace them on the road so went with PIT from Amazon, next day. They cut just as well for less than half the Meng price. Also glass jars for small part storage, paints etc and extra knife handles.
Im with you on the nippers/sprue cutters. I got 2 from Amazon for £6 about 12 months ago, just swapped the first out for the second one as I had gouged a few places on the cutting edge. They cut perfect.
Got yourself a nice kit there. They build up great !
Postie dropped this off earlier…
And the 2 sets of Eduard PE for it
Will do a more in depth write up when I get stuck into it … But initial looks are good…
You will also need gun barrel and maybe different tracks.
I will work on the barrel and the tracks are adequate for what I need.
Well I may not be able to buy armor kits anymore, but that doesn’t stop me from ordering cool armor stuff when I see it. Had this very cool 20oz. tumbler come in the mail.
Thanks for sharing. I never saw this growing up. Come to think of it, I have never seen this kit in person. Monogram was scarce in the grocery store’s small model section largely dominated by Revell in Northern CA.
