You’re very welcome. I had never seen or even heard of the model before. My good friend Fred Boucher (a.k.a. JTPRR) showed me a picture of one and told me about the old model and its scarcity. So, I went in search of and luckily found one.

Thank you,
Randy

For once Cyber-Hobby’s shipping was much faster than expected, closer to 3 months than the typical 6 months previously.

The “in shipment” arrived 1# box of 2 while I was away. My wife was kind enough to ask if I would like her to open this large strange box from Hong Kong.

All I could say was yes, please!

All she could say was, more model tanks who would have EVER expected that? :joy: :joy_cat:

She kindly unboxed for a better look at the lastest must have Dragon spawn.

Item #4, in box #2 will hopefully arrive.

Just a heads up one the M60A2. The search light bracket mounts to the hull but IIRC there is really no positive location marking and no mounting pins or holes. Best to mount it last or you will have to remount it. I learned the hard way.

DV, thank you very much!

I definitely would’ve had to learn the hard way too .

This will for sure get me through winter and I was shocked to see the size of that M48 box! No idea where I’m gonna put that thing. It really looks best from what I have seen being deployed but it’s probably about 2’ long that way. Someones post here on their M110 build is what tipped in that kit.

My wife found this for me at a thrift store this weekend and thought I might like to have it. I wasn’t sure what it was, but I appreciated the fact that she found it for me.

I got to looking through the pieces and doing some Google searching and turns out it is an old 20-Mule Team Borax Train model produced in the 1960s from the Borax laundry detergent company.

It appears to be complete, and I didn’t find any broken pieces and was able to find the instructions online. So, kudos to my wife for thinking of her styrene addict husband.

And the Pz.Bef.Wg. Ausf. K doesn’t have the round MG opening as portrayed in the box art :no_entry_sign: > :red_square:

Thank you, John for the heads up.

Dragon’s Pz III ausf K is one I’m hoping to build soon.

Oops sorry Ken, its the Ausf H (6844) which has the MG port glitch not the Ausf K (6853).

The tank itself was about 7 metres long, the bridge some 22 m plus mechanism, so call it 30 m in all as a rough estimate. That makes the model around 85 cm long with the bridge deployed.

Great find with that Borax wagon - a model that you can display on the mantlepiece without a fight! Haven’t seen one in years - will you post a blog here?

Randy,

You are blessed with your wife, I can tell you!

I’m watching an Youtube channel for the last couple of years(EngelsCoachShop). The gentleman restored a Borax Wagon several years ago.

So if you are curious about that monster, you can see a 1:1 restoration here:

Thank you. I might build it sometime down the road. If I do, I will show the work here. For now, it will go in the pile with all of the others collecting dust.

Thank you. I think so too. She has found me various models and hobby supplies over the years at garage sales and thrift stores. Plus, she is really good at haggling on the price.

Thank you for the link. I appreciate it.
