What the postman brought today (Armorama)

I am more than aware of the flimsyness of the Revell boxes… I wonder why they refuse to make better boxes… I bet every modeller is willing to pay 1 €/$/£/Whatever for a sturdier, top opening box…
Plus their stubbornness to refer only to their own paints, making you mix your own colors, whereas these colors are generally available from other manufacturers. Heck, refer to RAL/FS or similar color systems, and let the customer search for their own preferred paint!

It indeed looks detailed enough  I have to do some research wether this version was used in Northern Africa too…

Finally after a year of waiting I was actually once again able to go inside a model shop and pick up a kit!

I was in Albuquerque, NM for a few days for our State Championship Golf tournament ( I did quite well actually…) I had some extra money from the trip so I went to Hobby Proz and picked up the 1/35 Bronco Buffalo MPCV with slat armor and Tamiya quick set.

I didnt place in the top 5 in the tournament ( Everyone in the top 5’s was shooting high 60s low 70’s… they were very good.) so no medals or trophies for me BUT I got a patch, a ball and a shirt saying I made it and played in the Championship, which is a accomplishment as Hot Springs has never made it to the State Championship before!.

Congratulations Ezra. You gave it your best shot and you enjoyed doing it - that is all that really matters.

Lets see if you feel the same way about the slat armour once you tackle that !

The shipping was quite a surprise, the vendor slapped a label on the kit box and sent it out. First time I’ve received one that way.

If it had been a Federation ship, I’m sure it would have gotten lost in the delta quadrant traveling that way.

Lol

:scream: your lucky you got the kit. A good number of model boxes would have been destroyed shipping like that.

Oh that is just trifling
Im glad you got the kit though … Let me know when you start building it

Have you opened it yet? Check the parts as mine came with two lower hulls and no upper hull. Was all hyped to start building and then had to wait six weeks for the replacements. Now I have a dozen Pz III’s in the way.

Excellent points, I will check contents!

Make sure it’s not a trogan-horse with a Romulian inside or something like that :grinning:

Edit - contents look correct in box

Edit - left Amazon seller bad feedback for poor packaging

As someone who was a shipping clerk for a while, as well as dealing with shipping while a manager in a retail environment AND as a seller on eBay, in my professional opinion that was not even packaging. The stuff my wife gets from Amazon looks like it was packed by a robot. What do the humans actually do now at Bezos’ warehouses? Do they just monitor the bots to make sure they don’t rise up?
