What the postman brought today (Armorama)

This was a couple of recent deliveries.

Not sure what I’m going to do with the MP’s and periscopes, they were an online find, for now in the figure stash they go.

I’d be curious to know how that HMEE goes together. It looks very interesting but Panda has a bad reputation in my brain.

The tactical excavator goes hard. What are these usually used for?

Contacted Meng and actually got a reply, think they are confused about your tracks but told them the lighting makes them look different colour and they aren’t Indy links. Gave my details and hopefully will have them at some point, happy with response so far.

Thanks again for your help.

“Hello

Good day!

Thank you for contacting us.

The TS-005 you purchased comes with soft rubber tracks.

Your friend’s tracks appear to be assembled tracks. Please confirm the model number with your friend. Different models come with different tracks.

We will try our best to provide you with two replacement soft rubber tracks for the TS-005, but the color is currently gray-white.

The soft rubber tracks are different from the tracks shown in your friend’s photo. They are different tracks for different model.

If you want a new set of soft rubber tracks of TS-005, please provide your telephone number, full name, address and zip code (each of these info is required for the parcel)

Thanks

Best Regards,

Lmao so they think I assembled a set of indy tracks and try to pass them off as rubber? And the think they aren’t the right ones for the kit? Omg

I can tell with no problem that they are the same, just mine are a much better moulding

Yeah, but they obviously know there is an issue with my tracks, hence the change in later produced kits. Being sent out on Friday so will update when they arrive, could be a while if coming from China!

I dropped by the local model shop here in my US hometown and picked up some paints. I didn’t know that Vallejo released new bottles! Now I can finally paint my figures!

Still good to hear that they are standing behind their products and replacing them :+1:

Yes, it is only annoying that they now use black caps on the model color range too. In the past that was a easy way to distinguish between Air (black caps) and Model Color (white caps)…

About a month ago I ordered the Meng AuF1 French artillery SPG from Andy’s. The very long barrel was hopelessly warped. I contacted Meng, and without any pushback they sent a brand new sprue with the barrel on it.

Took about 15 days or so to get to Texas. Was really impressed with Mengs customer service. The new barrel was in a different color styrene so I do wonder if the old production run had some issues

Arrived monday. Did not have the chance to open it until this morning. Tamiya’s 1970s M-36 was one of my first models. Motorized. It amazed me. I bet this one’s even better.

The one and only issue I had with Meng was an incorrect sprue. They were very responsive and resolved the issue quickly.

Paint the cap in the colour that’s in the bottle. Makes it much easier to find the right one, especially if, like me, you store your paints in a drawer so you can only see them from above unless you take them out

Well a small parcel for now as I have some others arriving next week or waiting to be opened next week for my birthday. So continuing with the Cold War, probably upset a few with this statement but I’m not a Sherman fan, there said it, however with quite a few nations using them post WWII I knew I had to include one.

So the Tamiya Korean War E8

Star decals have a set for Canadian Easy 8’s in Korea so as soon as I can find a set they will join this kit.

Wow, how did you get it so early? I thought the M36 was still in pre-order status.

That is nice, but you still cannot see the difference between the 2 kind of paints if the caps have the same colour…
