What the postman brought today (Armorama)

Crazy last couple of months, wife wanted to house hunt and we found a new home we like etc.

Packing up the hobby room is good for unposted back log! :joy:

Edit - I don’t seem to be able to upload pictures anymore

Oh well

Congrats on the new house. I really dislike moving. Is it a local move or a longer distance?

Jim is having issues with the photos.

Also having a problem loading a pic on here. It’s a site issue?

Yup - Jim has posted that he’s having to move pics to a new server, so he’s temporarily disabled uploads. Should be sorted in a few days.

Guys, we are all scale model builders. So we have patience, don’t we? Jim will let us know when we can post pics again. Until then - back to the bench and build!

(It seems to be fixed)

I went to Euro Scale Modelling 2025 last Saturday and came home with these:

In the plastic bags in the first photo are two figures from J.W. de Boer. The tracks are Asuka T66 Sherman HVSS tracks that somebody was selling for €2 for a full set, so I couldn’t pass on those

Is moebius models good? I’m asking that because my dad is extremely frustrated at AMT kits (rightfully so):joy: . I am trying to get him more auto models and I don’t know which brands to get except Revell and maybe Hasegawa.

Hey Wade! Long time no see! So your long absence has been from moving, ugh. I hate moving. I hope you and the wife are doing well and that all went according to plan. Are you moved now? How’s your Mom? Let me know how you’re doing, buddy.

That is exactly how my brain has gone in latter years! My wife is astounded at the recall I have from earlier years, especially my youth! Not sure what that says about us, Brian!

@deerstalker36 deerstalker36, Colin, yes! Stepping up from a 10 x 10 with a poor shape to an 11 × 12 so probably 25% more useful space! We’ll have an extra 500 square feet, overall. My reference bookshelf should fit in the new hobby room instead of the spare bedroom for a change. Some stash kits may end up in totes in the garage as the closet seems slightly smaller. I’m OK with duplicate kits being out of hobbyroom.

@SenorOuiOui Jack, my first experience with the manufacturer. AFV’s are my bread and butter, I don’t know enough about car models to say more than it looks good to me.

I took pictures of the kit opened but have upload issues again today. I’ll try later.

@SSGToms Matt! Good to chat again! Hopefully by February, I’ll be back in the normal groove again.

Yes, it’s been a busy three months wirh house hunting, family reunions, Kali-Katt getting her radiation treatments, and dabbling in a new hobby, using AI to write the old 31 year long AD&D campaign into story format for kicks.

Vast majority of newest AI models implode with long form story in ~ 2 to 5 prompts when stress tested under 31 years of AD&D complexity.

It’s proved very entertaining.

Anthropic Opus 4.5 is the only one out ~20 models ai tested that didn’t fall apart.
