Wade it will certainly be good to have you back here on a daily basis. Can’t wait for February. I’m glad the family is doing well.
31 year campaign? Hey I’m an old dungeon crawler from way back. Been playing the game for 45 years. Started with the little stapled pamphlets for books. I absolutely love the game.
Now that you’re moved I hope to correspond with you more often.

Wade good to see you back! Are you moving far?
Hi Randy, We’re moving about 10 minuntes from town. Our old location is great, neighborhood is still good but there isn’t enough space for an addition.
Hopefully, full speed on here again by late February, March at the latest. We’ll be moving in January etc.
2026 looks interesting. I’m hoping to visit the AMPS Nationals in South Bend next year in any case.
Wade Good luck. Glad to see you back. In past few months in and out of hospital due to gastro issues. Had major surgery 3 weeks ago. I have several months of recuperation. I feel good but no driving, very restricted diet. Not working on models other then painting the 3D resin modern armor I mount on my O Gauge DODX flat cars. Also worked on 110 Ultramarine space marine figures. VBG. I just received the Tamiya 5 cm anti tank gun kit and the M36 kit. VBG.
Take care and love what you and others build.
I haven’t yet built a long barreled Mark IV without all of the schurzen,I’m a sucker for Dragon German armor,so I found this on ebay
This arrived yesterday, direct from Kiev, and a beautiful kit it is…
I have to thank @HermannB for the inspiration for this one, thanks to your superb work on scratch building one of these. I dare say the very fact that you are scratch building one, perhaps led to a new kit! Your work in the Building GDR NVA thread is all very inspiring.
On first examination, this kit does look rather splendid. @BootsDMS you might be tempted!
Whilst ordering from Kiev, I also picked up a couple of Masterbox WWI MK II Tanks in 1/72, one Male and one Female.
It does indeed look the business Terry. The one thing is, I suspect that with say, an MTLB towing it, the whole will not fit on one of my standard bases (the A4 ones that is) - it’ll have to warrant the larger ones, and even then, will probably be have to negotiating a bend(!)
Anyway, nice to see - certainly one of the gaps in my Warsaw Pact inventory now filled.
I think I will get me one. Two of these guns can´t hurt.
maybe one behind Zvezda´s MT-LB kit and one in firing position? How was shipping from Ukraine? Without problems I hope?
Thanks Terry, but I’m not remotely interested in the Ukrainian thing (good wheeze to get 2 x models into a smaller space though!)
Shipping from Ukraine was very efficient, and not overly expensive. This is the third time I’ve purchased stuff from Ukraine directly in the last couple of years, each time from a different supplier, each time excellent service.
Terry, good to hear. When I purchased from SP Design, I also had no trouble at all.
Randy, thanks for the update, good to see you back.
Sorry you’ve had a rough stretch. It’s good the surgery went well and you’re feeling better.
The bench work sounds great
The Dodx & ultras will keep you busy. I like 5cm Tamiya AT very sweet! The M36 likewise!
Wishing you a smooth recovery. Take care of yourself.
Wade
You could do two bases - one with the towing vehicle parked up waiting, and another with the gun emplaced ready to fire. You could even design them so the two bases can be placed side by side to make one larger diorama…
theres some new house builds and show homes near me. Not massive but very good use of space. All of the bedrooms (i converted one of ours into my hobby room) now appear to include a small living area and their own shower / wash area. It appears to be a nod to generational living that is prevalent here to be able to afford a home at the moment. Though it did get me to thinking that it would be good use of space for a hobby room in the bedroom area and a display room in the living section.
