Figured what the heck, for forty bucks on Amazon, can never have enough air brushes. Wayne
The Neoeco is a fantastic airbrush! I bought one about a year ago on AliExpress for $35. Put the .2 mm needle\nozzle in it and took it for a test drive. It shot as good as my Iwatas! With the extra needle\nozzles and MAC valve it’s very versatile and can shoot any pattern. It’s built pretty solid, too. I’ve had mine for a year and it’s still going strong. Probably just about the best $35 I ever spent on a modeling tool. You’re going to like what you can achieve with this airbrush.
Only thing I found is the finger/trigger/action is a little clunky. Kind of rough feel in the action as you squeeze. Maybe I should just use it more often.
Perhaps It’ll “ride up with wear”.
I bought one after seeing Matt’s review on it. It’s very nice for the money.
Obviously not a kit but I couldn’t resist advertising this one:
Well, what’s not to like if one is a Cold War modeller? Arrived today and just packed full of cracking evocative photographs ranging form the early Cold War to say, the introduction of the M60 series – or – as it says clearly on the cover “1963”.
Some great pics for modelling inspiration including Pershings, M42 Dusters, M38 and 38A1 Jeeps, M75 and M59 APCs, M47s, M48A1. M41 Walker-Bulldogs, M55 SP howitzers, M103, Atomic Cannon, M114, even a Sergeant missile.
Loads of other (than jeeps) soft skins too.
My mind, ever fertile though erratic, is now buzzing.
There may well have been a formal review on the site of this booklet, I cannot remember (or be bothered to check) but I cannot recommend it enough – as long as- that is – the inspiration leads to completion of a build; not always the case!
It prompted one particular yearning, and that would be for a 1/35 helicopter – in this case the Mojave as shown in the publication here:
I’ve included a few other shots just so you can (or not) share my enthusiasm:
Nice to see a Duster trundling through a German street as opposed to Vietnam perhaps.
I’d always thought that this piece of kit was exclusively Airborne - apparently not.
Some inspiration for those Tamiya M41s
I particularly like this pic - those Autumn mists amidst those chilly deployments…
And now I know how to model my I Love Kit M55!
Hmmm; really, really need to add that to my stash - I mean what’s my NVA MTLB to tow otherwise?
Yes and now I need to add an MTLB to my stash. Did anything else tow this thing like a truck?
I’d love to make a diorama with this thing. I have a set of East Germans from ICM and Valkyrie…..
I’m sure there would have been other prime movers; I recall that Hermann linked a superb video of this thing in action with the NVA. My God, it went off with a wallop!
I imagine that not much of NATO’s armour would have withstood a direct hit; any thoughts?
I received a RFM Jagdpanther kit for my birthday.
Look at that box!
That’s my meager stash, though the Flakveirling is on the wall of shame.
Richard,
The ZIL-131 truck was the most common MT-12A Rapira tractor in Bulgarian Peoples Army,
HTH!
Cheers,
Angel
How many jagdpanthers are in that box? I should build one of those. I have always been fond of it and the SU-85. I’ve built an SU-85. Hmmmm.
Yeah I kinda figured that truck would be pulling that gun sometimes.
Full interior ,and workable tracks. Lot of sprues.
Another book. But I am little disappointed since there is more information on Panzer 38(t) that on Panzer 39.
‘Love that Jeep kit; I think one of the few that comes with a canopy. Great little kit in my opinion. A bonus is the M18 recoilless rifle, which I don’t think anyone else does in 1/35; the figure isn’t great, but at least the weapon is there(!)
Except it’s far too thick, as I recall. The Tamiya one looks like it’s better-proportioned.
I could not resist and catched this at Vinted:
To convert the Artillery Limber to a REME Fitter will not be too challenging as the needed decals come with the kit. So it needs the rear basket and the Tarp over the load area.
Nice! ‘Look forward to seeing what you do with the GT-T.
