I had this title arrive today from Casemate Publishers to add to the library.

Congratulations on getting your Lucky Model shipment! I’ve been waiting almost 3 months for mine :face_with_symbols_on_mouth:

First, items listed in stock weren’t. After 6 weeks I started hounding them. Finally I got a notice of shipping. NOW, the tracking number given me is listed as"not found".

Cheap is one thing but my patience is wearing thin. We’ve got our group build “Show & Tell” tomorrow. My StuH 42 is on a nice XPS base, hand carved cobbles with magic marker masking tape sewer grates. a thimble for a fire hydrant and a big button to represent a man hole cover. GRRRrrrrr!!!

Sorry to vent! Have a great weekend everybody !!!

I have given up on Lucky model. If you scroll up a few dozen pages on here I have a post regarding the 1 1/2 year struggle I had before I finally received 2 of the 4 kits I had ordered from them. 2 I got my money refunded but the other 2 I stubbornly refused to because I paid so little for them compared to the price they had ballooned to in the time I waited. I had used them for over 10 years and they slowly became worse and worse

I had to get one of these kits because it reminds me of Trevors truck from GTA5 so much

Quite a nice day today! Panther G Last Production, and a MiG book on how to paint winter. Definitely could have used that when I was jumping back in to the hobby with the winter Tiger 1 initial production I did a couple of months ago! Not the ideal scenario you want to start off with! :joy:

For my planned M-ATV build. bought two sets for future builds. The color and brush from the new LHS in town. It took a year to get a new shop established after the old owner passed away.

Well my build is stuck in a ditch of PE…mainly with those PE racks…

I hope you will sort that out with yours…

Got a few goodies today.

I had this title arrive in the mail to add to the library. Yes, another title on captured armor.

Found this 1979 modeling book at a used book store.

I picked up this 1969 Lindberg lighthouse model at a thrift store.

And I found this military ammunition cannister at the same thrift store. I can’t find any markings on it anywhere so I don’t know anything about it. I tried researching it and I found different answers. Some sites say it is WWII American , some say WWII German, others say WWII German/Swiss, and others just say it is Swiss.

So, it was good day.

I suppose I’m fortunate in that I very seldom order my next “project to build”. Occasionally there’ll be an aftermarket item or some paint I need at short notice, but largely I’m building from my Cold War stash.
If ever I need something for a pending project, I won’t be using Lucky Model.

That looks like a hardcover version of this:

The street accessories from Lucky Models will be for future projects (if they ever come) but it sure would of been nice for yesterday’s GB show & tell.

Lucky Models… Lucky if you ever get your order!!!

Not a bad idea to have gotten rid of it, really

I’ve been thinking a more “what if” build make it Russian and give it a 1980’s “Red Dawn” treatment.
