If we are lucky… Some people will want to ban anything sharp and make it illegal to hurt a tree in any way.
Cheers,

What do you mean “will”? They already do! Just haven’t come together on it yet!
The ban on sharp objects will be hard to bypass
but wood, dried and aged, can be recycled from old furniture.
It would be a win-win situation:
cale modeling has no such restriction
From my point of view, accurate means the details present are correct for the subject, not that every possible detail is present. Easy means everything fits, instructions are clear, the model includes a minimum of very small parts, and assemblies are consolidated when possible. Fast means a normal person can build the model in one or two evenings. Inexpensive means the model is in the $10 to $25 US range, such that a kid with an allowance can afford the thing. None of these attributes are contradictory and most model companies produce some models that meet all 4 criteria.
The people at Tamiya definitely deserve praise for keeping their older models in circulation at low prices.
In my opinion, the value of many new, mid range models–$30 to $45 US–is fantastic.
Nah, shooting now is wayyyyyyy more expensive than it used to be. Surplus ammo supplies have dried up, and ammo shortages happen all too frequently. The powers that be in some locations have made it more and more difficult for the average law abiding citizen to execute their constitutional rights regarding firearms… yes even with a single shot muzzle loader… waiting periods, taxes, background checks.
That’s because the Second Amendment gives the right to bear arms, but says nothing about finding affordable ammo to shoot them! Personally I blame it all on those armed bears using it up…
There is a recipe for making black powder… if you are up for it. Our forefathers had muzzleloaders in mind when they wrote the Constitution.
Note they say in Russia one has right to whole bear
not just the arms…wink

Which is why if they put a freeze on everything today I’d still have enough primers, bullets, and powder for 7500 more rounds of .38 Special, .357 Magnum, .45, and 9mm. In a few weeks I’ll have dies and shell plates for .44 Magnum as well, but alas no Magnum primers. (I don’t use them for .357.) No need need to reload 5.56 - I have more of that than God.
Bikes? Thirteen projects waiting to be completed before I die.
Model wise, I am equally prepared for the zombie apocalypse, including liquid cement and no. 11 blades. Although one wonders why I’d be taking time out to model, what with some much ammo on hand.
Personally I blame it all on those armed bears using it up…
Curse those armed bears!!!
I like my hobby and I’m pretty darn good at it, thank you very much.
The one on the right is The Litchfield Lightning 1900. Have to get me one of those.
flocculation coagulation agitation process…BUMP
We’re about due for a what’s wrong thread so figured why not make a pre-emptive strike!
There is nothing wrong with modelling,
we are just getting older, need more light,
stronger glasses to see anything but a blur,
back getting stiff, harder to crawl on the floor
loking for AWOL parts, fingers getting stiff
and so forth and so on
Most of us are also suffering from the effects of being invisible to attractive young women …
Don’t know about being invisible, at this stage it’s more like not as interested in them, the mind is sometimes willing but the aches and pains are weak
Most of us are also suffering from the effects of being invisible to attractive young women
Indeed, increasing invisibility waiting at bars and intersections inevitably follows.
But I do like the contributions to this pointless thread (entirely Wade’s fault) and applaud the collective wisdom of the following elder knights and warriors…
He Who Polishes AFVs
He Who Terminates Farm Buildings
He Who Destroys Candy Dispensers
He Who Outshines Smiths
He Who Stalks Montanas
He Whose Excavator Sounds Like A Dog
He Who Trades in Stiks And Shuns The Letter “c”
He Who Mercilessly SSG’s His Shoes
He Who Grows Old In Louisiana
He Whose Parent’s Brother Is Large And Lacks Grammar
He Who Celebrates 18th Birthdays
He Who Intentionally Loses Tchaikovsky Overtures
…and other contributors with even more obscure achievements, such as my own
Actually, you can be the object of attractive young women’s attention and marry decades older than your pretty young wife, even if you are a frail and decrepit curved spine liver-spotted Mr. Burns type.
That is, if you are a retired multimillionaire doctor.
I’ve personally seen this twice.
Today’s math problem -
Bob is 84
Bob’s wife is 21
How much money does Bob have ?
A F*** Ton?
I presume that all of us have some set of ideal measurements for women.
These are the numbers for men:
104-85-50
50 million $ assets
85 years old
104 F temperature …
Haha! That’s good!
