"Winter Harvest" - Ukraine War dio

That may be the way I am leaning.

Yes I see what you mean. Reminds me of these two Verlinden sets.

The kneeling guys in both are wearing jackets- you could perhaps paint the jackets as leather ones which would be sort of winter wear.

You could replace the item in his hands, or even replace the hands completely, and have him holding the tow rope near the front of the “trophy” BMP.

I decided to go with these two guys below. I will change their heads and paint them in more civilian colors. I think the boots will look like Welly’s or rubber muck boots once painted up. I may change out the PPSh-41 for a shotgun to have the standing guy as a lookout while the other guy hooks up the cables.

I have finally finished this one up. I ended up using the two Evolution Miniatures figures above. On the standing guy, I cut his jacket off to make it shorter, replaced his head w/one wearing a knit cap, and replaced the PPSh-41 for a shotgun.

The kneeling guy I cut off at the waist and stood him up more so he wasn’t bending down as far. I also repositioned his arms and replaced his hands to hold the tow clevises.

Here is the overall scene with the tractor getting ready to tow away the BMP-2. I added the road sign and debris around the BMP-2 for some atmosphere as well.

A couple more detailed pics.

Damn, that tractor is huge next to that BMP! Good luck at the show.

Yup, she’s a beast, just like the real thing.

Thanks.

Very nicely done from the tractor surgery to the finished deal. The figures came out very wel. Great atmosphere to it and the base scene finishes it off just right. Good luck at the show :+1:

Thanks Johnny. I really like how it turned out. Hopefully it does well at the show.

Nicely done Gino. I quite like when civilian vehicles are in a scene with military ones- the drab and flat military colors always contrast well with the brighter, shinier civilian colors. The scattered items at the back of the BMP are well observed too- something you see in many photos of them.

Thanks Karl.

Looks great Gino!

Thanks Rick.

Mighty fine, Gino! Mighty fine!

Where did you find the tractor? I’ve got a dio in my head right now where I’ll need one of those!

 :cowboy_hat_face:

Thanks Richard. I got the tractor off eBay, look for 1/32 tractors and there are a bunch.
