I just did a quick Google search and found the text I quoted.
Nice to see IDF M50 in several lists. It’s odd that major manufacturers did not retool it in styrene after all these years.
As to those wanting T-72M, this news is promising: HobbyEasy | T-72M Full Interior supposedly to be released this month.
For you, British engineering vehicle fans, this may be coming soon, too: HobbyEasy | British Centurion Mk 5 AVRE
Well, there are the old Dragon/Cyberhobby and MP Models kits of the M50 in 1/35. But a new tool kit would be nice. I have the MP kit in my stash and it looks rough!
Yeah, I have the old (OOP now I think) Dragon M50 kit, and the fit was horrendous. We want a 21st century new tool.
And for those of who wanted IDF Namer, Meng just announced a new release:
http://www.meng-model.com/en/contents/59/320.html
Check it out.
… and it can be built in three different versions
Ferret Scout Car, one of the most widely used Post War Vehicles serving up to the Gulf War
Alvis Stalwart
FV 434 Fitters
CVRT Family
FV 432 Mortar Track
VIKING
Seems a new Scimitar CVR(T) is on the offing, and variants may be on the horizon:
https://www.tigerhobbies.co.uk/pre-order/GECKO-MODLES-35GMXXXX-TEMP-1:35-SCIMITAR-MK-II-%20FOR-2021
Ouch about the price though. Almost 100 pounds (134 USD)?! Must have some gold in it.
It does say it’s a Temp price and it won’t be that expensive so, … I would be interested for sure, but it would need a massive decrease in the cost and I’d hope the slatted Armour is included… Or maybe that’s made of gold
That Scimitar looks like a fun kit, I think it would go good with my UN one… I wonder though is the slat armor PE or styrene?
The pics look like it’s PE, and I’m hoping it’s included in the price. The Chally2 TES from RFM has styrene slatted in its kit, but they also do a PE set (for extra)
I almost got the Chally TES yesterday but someone out bid me !!! Damn them lol
Hi fellow modellers, I am new here, but was member of the “old” ARMORAMA forum. I am very much interested in all types of German Leopard and the British “Big C” tanks, Centurion, Chieftain and Challenger. Therefore my wishes for Modern Kits in 2021:
- Leopard 2 - first batch and pre-production series (to replace the ancient Italeri kit) - with the single anti-skit pads, with the old style exhaust, and maybe as optional part the rear grille with 22 bars.
- Challenger 1
- Buffel (Leopard 2 ARV)
- Chieftain Mk.11 - by MENG (which was announced by MENG, but they never did)
- Leopard Bridge Layer (Biber on Leopard 1 or Leguan on Leopard 2)
Cross fingers.
Stephan
Oooh here’s one more from me, A 1/35 Leopard 2a6 with molded on styrene Barracuda and PE Slat armor, as a single kit so you dont have to buy the expensive Perfect Scale Modellbau set and a Leopard kit.
Well, we can scratch one from the List, Gecko Models are doing a Scimitar 2 with bar armour and full ECM suite. Given there track record it is not to much to see them doing a Spartan based vehicle (Samson, Starstreak, Sparton etc)
@Spanner28 Yes Al, about 7 posts before yours… Ha ha ha … cheers mate.

Most of you probably saw this announcement already but here’s another new modern release of M60A3 to look forward to in 2021!
Top 5 new modern kits for 2021 - Plastic, 1:35 scale
- M88A2;
- VT-55;
- BTS-4;
- IDF M-50;
- Alvis Stalwart.
Friends, Romans and Countrymen,
The following kits would be highly appreciated!!! All in 1:35!
-
Corrected early TANK, COMBAT, FULL-TRACKED, 105-MM, M60A1 with undercut at the
turret’s sides!
Correcting to the early turret for the M60A1 shouldn’t be too difficult for AFV-Club. The SOL
Production turret is fine, but grinding a depression to your wallet! -
TRUCK, CARGO, 4 TON, 6X6, Diamond T 970 / T 970 A
Hopefully a plastic model company like TAMIYA or AFV Club will find some interest in these
vehicles! -
TRUCK, PRIME MOVER, 7.5 TON, 6X6, MACK NO/Mack NO 2
The same applies as mentioned under 2. -
TRUCK, CARGO, 2.5 TON, 6X6, M135 and M211, W & W/O WINCH
Likewise -
CARRIER, PERSONNEL, HALF-TRACK, M5/M5A1, M9 & M9A1
