Yes, saw that one Peter, given Gecko do variants I sincerly hope a few SPartan based variants see the light of day such as a straight Spartan, SAMSON and SPartan w MCT.
An M88 Hercules in styrene would be nice. I have the AFV kit and Eduard pe set but am tempted by the M88 A2 set. Its about $150 though, so a styrene Hercules would be a great idea
Any evolution of Merits’ M923A2 would nice.
1/35 Takom to redo their AML 60/90 kits (too many fender/panel lines to fill, rubber tires that melt the sprues). Add a metal barrel.
1/35 South Africa Ratel 90
1/35 South Africa Eland 90
1/35 Venezuela S530 (AML with twin 20mm guns)
1/35 Different 11.00x16 tire patterns from standard Michelin run flats that comes with the kits. There are at least 5 different tread patterns seen on these cute little AML runabouts.
1/35 Panhard ERC 20 (twin 20mm guns).
I would love to see some 1/700-350 Canadian submarines, as well as a 1/35 M113 ADATS.
Better figure sets for different years in Iraq, and in larger groups with larger groups of poses that work with different fighting vehicles. Field mods for the invasion without having to buy fifty dollars of stowage at the same time.
Hold on, did anyone mention a new tooled M103A1 and A2 heavy tanks?
So we can forget about the awful Black Plague ones from Dragon.
Hm is it bad? It´s on my wishlist
The Dragon Black Death M103 kits?
Bad? Bad is just the start of it …

Pawel fixed it but it takes LOT of work.
I’d have to agree - a new M103A1 - as is pointed out, fixable under Pavel’s tutelage but a real chore (and some fairly major surgery).
Oh that bad…
It depends on what you are looking to get out of it. I built one pretty much OOB for a customer and I think it came out pretty nicely. It looks like an M103 when done and is a pretty impressive size.
All in 1:35
- The LAV 6.0 IFV
- Leopard 2A6M CAN with Barracuda in styrene
- The TAPV
- Taurus ARV
- Canadian figures of any kind
I agree about all of those!
I’d love to see a 1/35 Bison APC as well.
I was just poking around this thread and wondered along the way: do you guys think the manufacturers look around here looking for their next kit? The reason I pose this question is the beginning of a conversation that went serious about 4 or 5 years ago concerning the Panhard AML 60/90. That conversation took a great and serious turn with lots of inputs, and photos, and customer use around the world, and all the conflicts mentioned about a vehicle that you always wondered why it was never in kit form. Sure, we had the Azimut kit (of which I’ve had built, and added over dozens of corrections or additional parts), but always wondered “when”. That “when” came to fruition in 2017 to the thrill of hundreds of modelers (especially myself since I’ve dealt with them for a dozen years or more), when Takom released their kit, then Tiger Model soon after. So, with all this being said, who has had their ‘wish list’ actually see a kit produced??
Ha! So many of my wish list items got produced over the years. Where to begin??
- Merkava Mk. 4M w/ trophy
- More accurate T-72’s
- M1A2 SEP Abrams
- T-90’s
- various MRAPs
- Leopard C2 Mexas
- More accurate British Warrior IFV
- More accurate M2 and M3 Bradleys
- D9R bulldozer
- More accurate M60A1, A2, and M60A3
- Nagmachon
- AMX-30 B2
- Chieftain
- M7 Priest (although WWII)
- M4 Sherman with interior
- M51 Super Sherman
- more accurate M3 Lee
- Bergepanther (although Axis)
- M2 and M3 half tracks
- Various Strykers
- More accurate M109’s
- M42 Duster
There are more, and I think they’re watching.
If I can add vehicles from the 60’s-90’s, then
- Hungarian PSZH (aka Armoured Infantry Carrier, served in Hungarian and East-German armies)
- Hungarian FuG (aka Reconnaisance Amphibious Vehicle, served in Hungarian army)
- Hungarian D344 Csepel truck
- Any of the russian air defence radars (eg PRV-17; P-35 etc…)
- German MZ-250 or ETZ-250 motocycles
All in 1/35 scale, of course.
That’s an understatement.
Ok! I´ll guess I have to reconsider
I hardly believ that modelmaking companies visit this group. I work(ed) with various companies. I you really want your dream kit, then provide the companies with the neccesary references. I would say for an ordinary tank or truck, it would be 1000 pics plus drawings. For examples, Trumpeter have used Oshkosh factory drawings for their HEMTT kits. One the other hand, I provided Trumpeter with hundreds of pics plus drawings for the M777 some years ago and… nada! Perhaps the M198 kit didn´t sell as well so they didn´t even considered making the M777. So I don`t have hopes that we would see or dream kit soon. That´s the fact.
Right, we can only hope but they must be doing the market research somehow, and we have gotten a lot of wish kits over the years thankfully. It may not be so true for a lot of artillery pieces or soft skins but many AFVs and APCs have come to reality so we can continue to voice our wants in the hopes that our market demands are there.
Kind regards,
James
