i’d like to see some MACV-SOG figures, ideally in 120mm or a slightly bigger scale would be nice, perhaps a set of six figures depicting the standard 3 American and 3 Indigenous troops set up.
A 1/9 to 1/16 modern US figure with the US Army’s next-generation combat goggle…IVAS.
- New US, Chinese, Russian, and NATO weapons sets in 1/35, 1/24, 1/16 scales (carbine/rifle, machine guns, heavy weapons, rocket and missile launchers. loitering munitions, grenade launchers, SHORADS, etc.)
- New US, Chinese, Russian, and NATO gear sets in 1/35, 1/24, 1/16 scales
- New US, Chinese, Russian, and NATO radios and communications sets (vehicle and handheld) in 1/35, 1/24, 1/16 scales
- New US, Chinese, Russian, and NATO sensors, radar dishes, laser rangefinders, thermal/FLIR, night vision goggles, anti-sniper, anti-IED jammers, antennas, etc. portable and vehicle mounted)
- 1/35 new modern pickups for Technicals…Toyota Tacoma, Great Wall, F-550, Land Rover, SUVs, etc.
- 1/35 lightbars, spotlights, and lights
- 1/24 modern police and S.W.A.T. gear and weapons (long demand not realized)
- Resin that is cured and doesn’t stink…come on vendors, don’t sell and ship anything that is freaking toxic in touch and fumes. Allow the resin to cure and dry before shipping it and don’t use any globally banned chemicals in making these kits.
- More original Sci-Fi and fantasy kits
- More vendor sales throughout the year instead of waiting for the Holidays. Usually there is a summer and Holiday sale and that is it
- Curtail on inflation. Ever notice that this hobby gets more expensive and soon paint bottles cost a whopping $8 each when they started off at $2.50 each? Price gouging…this isn’t gasoline that they’re selling.
- Better communications from vendors. A lot of sculptors have quit the hobby or thought that buyers don’t care and that they have no fans. Some stopped posting for fear of trolls, flammers, SPAM, recasters, and Bots. Please keep making kits, posting, offering sales, and communicating with us to avoid the recasters.
- A revival of the model kit industry in North America. 3D is hot now thanks to @MikeyBugs and @James_Lee and these are both based in the USA. More 3D printers/sellers can start up and 3D printing is all the rage now…not the hype…the print quality has no lines, flash, blobs, runs, or errors now. ETSY is one good online shop to go to for 3D kits. All three here have excellent Customer Service. We need more of these kinds of sellers.
- Shapeways to get new and better 3D printers…Shapeways can’t beat @MikeyBugs and @James_Lee’s resin print quality and is a generation or three behind Mike and James Lee.
Howdy,
Stikpusher, I’ll support your recommedation for an M75, but please with interior. The engine isn’t the problem, not required as I assess!
Yes, I know; - the Belgium Company Retrokit offers a M75! But, honestly; - my impression of this kit. It is a huge piece of resin. The hatches and the two largecargo hatches can’t be opened. No interior!
This kit is definetly not my choice.
For my, this is the reason why I would strongly support a polystyrol M75!
AFV Club has the running gear and other component!
Best regards
Hank
Well, it is made up of some substantial pieces of resin, I’ll grant you that, but the Retrokit model makes up into a fairly decent M75 I feel:
It would have been nice to have the rear hatches opening, although then I’d probably end up feeling I needed to populate it - more figure work (!) I think I drilled out the Commander’s hatch, I really can’t remember, but that wasn’t too taxing.
The model is nicely detailed in my opinion, and isn’t too pricey in the scheme of things.
That’s a beaut!
Well, thank you very much. I am tempted to get a second one to finish as a US version; we’ll see (just what I need, another addition to an out of control stash!)
My 1/35 polystyrene kit wish list is quite short…
Bedford RL 4x4 GS truck
Bedford MK 4x4 GS truck
Land Rover 101 Gun Tractor
Steyr-Puch Pinzgauer 4x4 or 6x6
I’m sure ICM could come up with these vehicles…keep on wishing!
Three you have missed mate,
Chieftain AVRE,
Trojan & Titan.
The stuff I’d like to see will never be attempted but since we’re dreaming:
All 70’s era and 1:35 . . .
Period correct chainsaw
Stretchers, rolled up or collapsed (more than one per kit please)
Radio handsets, tabletop mics
Period correct LBE, pack frames, goggles, binoculars
Cutting torch and guages for oxy/acetelyne rigs
Boots, kit bags, ready bags
Walkie talkies
Hooks (various sizes), snatch blocks, come-along, turnbuckles
Hot food canisters, portable cook stove, folding chairs, lawn chairs
Lincoln welder
CS teargas blower and coiled duct for tunnel clearance
Flashlights - right angle and the big chrome one
Hydralic fittings/connectors
Circular (Skilsaw), bolt cutters
Unlikely but no worse than some of Miniarts’ garage or work kits.
Cajun

I’m going to wish for a 1/35th Casspir, a Panhard M3 (especially the anti-tank variant), a SKOT-64, and an EE-9 Cascavel. I love wheels!
I’d certainly second a SKOT!
Yes, it’s an interesting vehicle. Some figures riding on top of it would be excellent, too.
For a vehicle with such a long service life, it is surprising that the only 1/35th models are the resin and 3D printed ones (ARMO and Red Tank Miniature).
There’s the rub; I don’t think the Armo ones are available anymore - which is a shame.
I’m 100% here for a Cascaval - fantastic shout
i cant believe nobody has done this one yet!
I think I might have seen that one in the flesh Brian, at some show or other. You certainly have made a very good job of that. I may have asked before but what did you do re the tracks? I keep looking at the resin ones on my M75, and they look scary!
Thanks Terry - glad you liked it. The resin ones probably aren’t that difficult given that (I think) they’re in bite-sized chunks, but my latent fear of them came to the fore and I opted for the tracks made by AFV Club - and I think they’re very good:
Very simple to use and well detailed, plus no faff as for individual links.
