Time to wrap up the build of this kit. Beauty shots later today.
WNW did not supply any photo plate boxes, so after many hours of research came across the brand VULCAN. This is the closest I could hand paint them.
And a look inside. Nothing worse than an empty space where one might wonder, “What went in there?”. Hope you see the logic.
With the rear view mirror and exhaust tips installed it was time to cover up all the brass bling. Must admit they look better painted.
And a step back.
Now the Prop.
Lovely detail in these badges.
No wash needed here. All the photos show this part being clean as a whistle.
Prop and side cowls attached. Some slight chipping and oil stains on the cowl parts brought them to life.
Warm thanks to Michael Roof @SdAufKla for his inspiration when I lost a little mojo on this one.
And a huge thanks to Sunward Hobbies for sending over the kit and paint for this build article. Please visit them at https://www.sunwardhobbies.ca/ and support a family run hobby store.
Most of all, thanks to you guys and gals for following along. Sure hope it was interesting and informative. Now the build has wrapped up, but there may be more in the future featuring grass, concrete and period correct goodies.
Thank you so much Don, means a lot coming from a talented modeler yourself. As for the Salmson, she’s eventually going up for auction to raise funds for senior dismembered mobility. For things like wheelchair tires, batteries, bearings, etc.
Wow! that is one impressive build HG, all the little details inside the gunners position really lift this build to another level, very impressive work, .
It was great to catch with this when I did.was a pleasure watching a new masterpiece emerge… Beautiful detailing throughout… And the level of intricate attention to the usually ignored or forgotten detail is phenomenal.
Colin, she’s up for sale. A client needs funds for batteries for his motor chair. It’s the way he gets around. I’m not shipping this rare item via post for fear of damage. If you know of someone in the Edmonton area willing to pick it up, please let me know. I’m disabled from a car accident myself and can’t travel.
