Annual air show with a large re enactment contingent. They have British, German, American ETO and PTO and sometimes Soviet and Japanese encampments surrounding the airfield

Went to this show many years ago with a buddy .
Witnessed some pretty atrocious gun handling by a reenactor . Showing my buddy his 1911 with the slide closed , magazine inserted and muzzle swept everyone included me . He was miffed when I suggested he open the action .
Other than that it was a great show.

Something else interesting, for me at least . As I was waiting for the kids to return from trying to find a spot for a decent view of the skirmish I noticed a stack of crates next to one of the buildings and thought “ I wonder if those are Container Research Corporation helicopter blade shipping containers “



That was pretty cool as my dad worked there during high school at the outset of the Vietnam war and at the time the plant was located down the hill from where they live now.
