Oh yeah, zombies. I totally forgot about them. Good backup plan.
Zombies, I’ve got a load in the back of my cupboard I could use
Anyway, got a bit more done.
First pattern, shaded and highlighted.
I decided on the ‘Normandy’ look. It’s certainly not perfect, no pattern matching or anything but I think it turned out ok. First time doing this pattern at this scale so, I’m satisfied with it.
And after a bit more work….
Slowly getting there… Back to work today so, no updates for a few days now.

Looking good.
I am sure you have already planned to address but it looks like a seam line runs along the back of both boots.
The uniform looks great.
I might be wrong but, I think those are leggings and a seam does run up the back.

Learn something new.
@Lazarus, Your paint skills are
Thanks buddy, believe it or not, I actually hate painting. Much prefer the build part. To me, painting is just a means to get to the end of a build.

I have many assembled but unpainted 28mm hard plastic wargames figures; it has been suggested I simply spray them silver grey so they match the hundreds of white metal miniatures which will never get painted (by me) either…
Cheers,
M
I like how you think, Tom……

You two need to find the painters who dislikes the assembly part and collaborate on the figures.
Good idea, Fearless Leader! But, then who snags the ribbon?
Shut-up, self… you’ve got lots of work to do on both fronts.
Now that’s tempting……

Not seen anything from our glorious leader yet. Come on Ryan, show yer stuff!

I was talking about in general, for the campaign the modeler is the chief, cook and bottle washer. No freebies here, everyone suffers….whip cracking.
Slavedriver!

Here is where I am at.
I didn’t think I had primer on Albert but after addressing a seam line I found when mounting him I might have hit him with grey primer. I hope to hit them all with black then white primer this weekend.
I have a few other projects that need to finished before jumping on these figures.
Got some interesting looking ones there, mate. Do you use the panel liner on the figures?
G.
I have not yet, I was using them on the A4 build. They worked for that purpose but not confident with use. I am not sure it would be useful for figure modeling but I am sure some could make it work.
Well lads, this little chap is now starting to come together. I must admit, After opening the box and seeing the raw parts, I wasn’t really too impressed. Throwing a bit of paint at it has totally transformed it though. The details really do pop! It easily equals something from other manufacturers like Alpine. Alpine wins on casting quality though. Strangely enough, this was actually my 3rd choice from Airborne. I really fancied doing either the WSS Ardennes chap or the one with the panzerschreck. I think Gunther Sternberg’s boxart had a lot to do with that. Unfortunately, both were out of stock, so I’m having to wait until the stock comes in. Anyway, here’s a quick update…
