Wait a minute - an Army captain is right, and everybody else is wrong? The guy was already misstating facts in his report, so to me anything he says is suspect. It sounds to me like someone looking for some bullets points on his OER.
o Displays an extraordinary amount of knowledge for someone having spent so little time in the Army
As for the P320, I own three, and I’'ve managed to keep one pretty much box stock.
None has ever drop fired (or dropped for that matter) and they will eat up any ammo I feed into them, ball or otrherwise.
These guns do not go off on their own. THe one incident that started it all was a police officer who didn’t want to admit he had an ND I’ll bet.
That video proves nothing. Dude screwed up, and just like the cop, won’t admit to it. He was undoubtedly reholstering, and manipulated the trigger. I’ve run countless ranges - my own unit, with females who knew little to nothing about guns, other units wanting my M17 training, and Best Warrior Competitions with competitors from the Army Band. No one ever had an ND, nor did any of their guns magically fire on their own.
