@bob_gs, the kit and your assembly look very good. The kit seems to provide some clear and crisp details, like the steering assembly and radiator, and you’re doing a great job on the engine - I like the spring on the throttle return!

Looking forward to seeing you updates,

Cheers
Nick

Thanks everyone! I continue. Started assembling the cabin - added several homemade parts (hood lock, several relays, hood light)

Mind blowing !

How is the kit? I find it a bit pricy but if it’s really well made and could lead to a nice result OOB, I might spare the expense!

I’ve seen pictures of these trucks, the cargo version, on the Ho Chi Minh trail, I wonder if they will do a military version? Wayne

This is looking great. Awesome detail work on the engine and compartment.

I don’t think the military version was really any different than the civilian version.

If you don’t bother much with technical issues and the model’s compliance with the prototype (issues can be resolved, but require additional efforts), and don’t open the doors and hood, it’s a very pleasant and uncomplicated model. The only problem is gluing the windshield into the frame. Not a trivial task.

Thanks!

Would they have a military style tires? Wayne

Thank you,Joachim !

No, the all-wheel drive ZIL-131 was used as a full-fledged military variant

It looks like they could have standard (civilian-style) tires as well, depending on their use.

These ZIL-130s with landing lights were parked at our airfield; a very nice picture. Thanks for the photo. Unfortunately, I don’t have a model of the ZIL-130 yet.

Always blue and white!
