1/72 A4 Base (2021)

Hi Ryan,

Thumbs up to your bridge idea, :slightly_smiling_face: :+1:. Plenty of images online, but struggling to find one that’s specific to russia but, as you say, I’m sure the principles worldwide would be similar.

Cheers,,

Are you married to my wife, as I hear the same thing. :joy:

lol@Ryan, this is beginning to sound like we’ve stumbled into an alternative ‘Stepford Wives’ territory, only this time they’re picking on us as opposed to pampering us, :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye: .

Hi all,

Had a go at creating the tiles for the stable outbuilding roof (see images below).

Great tiles G, nicely uneven and different shapes. They look perfect.

G,

The figures came in and this set is better then I expected.

Thrown on the base.

Zvezda do some really nice 1/72 figures. Got a couple of sets and they’re very impressive.

Those look like very good 1/72 figs. The whole base is coming together very nicely.

Thanks, I hope to continue on that path.

Hi Ryan,

Thanks for posting the images, they do look very good for the scale, :slightly_smiling_face:.

I am tempted to get some of the British figures, but the write up in ‘Plastic Soldier Review’ suggests that many of them are too early for the period as they have their gasmask bag across their chests, :disappointed:.

Hi all,

I had originally planned to take the easy way out with the farmhouse and simply blank off the open end of the building as I wouldn’t then have to worry about squareness and furnishings and suchlike, . But prior to that I needed to reinforce the main roof before adding the tiles. However, I ended up roughing out the whole of the interior, so now I’m committed to adding some level of detail :unamused:…rod and back springs to mind, .

Does anyone make 1/72nd scale furniture, :slightly_smiling_face:?

Cheers,,

Yes, link now available, I cannot speak to that. Might want to look at HO rail products also.

That figure looks nice for comparison next to the kit @Tank_1812. Will they need much touch up being snap kits ?

Love that internal structure you’ve given the farm house G. It will be more work but I think it will really take it up a few notches.

I now have a Revell KingTiger on route which I will convert into a tracking control vehicle… I need to join the race and start building something… You pair are getting ahead now lol

Not that I can see. I like that the arms are separate so you have some leeway on the pose.

I am only ahead because I stopped work on the Miniart build. I am getting to the short rows and I am not sure which way I will go. Nothing sticks for me.

Hi all,

Today I managed to rough out the roof on the main house, over the weekend I will cover it in a thin layer of DAS and then tidy it up, .

As you can see I decided to add some damage to the roof, thinking I might add an observer, or maybe a sniper, :slightly_smiling_face:.

Cheers,,

Looking good as usual.

That is looking so good G, you should be rightly proud of it. The stone work, court yard, cobbles, roof slates, the hole in roof, interior layout and detailing so far… Superb !!

Hi Ryan and John,

Thanks for the feedback and continued support, they’re much appreciated, :slightly_smiling_face: :+1:.

Has your Tiger II arrived yet John, :slightly_smiling_face:?
