Just a few small bits left before primer, mainly the wind screen and a two small landing gear doors. Started to drill out the exhausts, looks much better than the base kit part

Next to last update on my El Alamein project. The 1/35 scale figures are done. The only thing left to do is a simple base.
Two German Afrika Korps soldiers and one Italian paratrooper.
Two Desert Rats and a wounded officer.
Blocking in the final positions.
Just need to make a simple base and close up the bottle. Thanks for viewing. Keep up the superb work, fellow modelers.

Long shot but does anyone have a spare part for the armored glass on a P-40 sitting around? I seem to have misplaced mine
Part D02 below
Is it something you could fake with a piece of clear packaging cut to size? Just saying because that’s a sorely particular piece to lose.
Yeah I know I always seem to lose or break parts no one is going to have a spare of. I did order some clear evergreen polystyrene sheet off Amazon but I think it is going to be really thin. Maybe not the end of the world though
The American invasion of Guadalcanal occupied the full attention of the IJNAF in Rabaul so the IJAAF was called in to Rabaul handle the air war over New Guinea. In late 1942 the Unyo picked up the 11th flying regiment and their Ki-43 Oscars from Suryabaya in Java and delivered them to Truk whence they flew to Rabaul. Within 6 months the remnant of the regiment was sent back to Japan to to be rebuilt. I will build the Unyo with a deck load of Oscars.
Time to catch up with everyone’s builds.
Mead93, Easy part to loose. Good luck with finding a replacement.
brekinapez, I agree. A piece of clear packaging from some sundry purchase should suffice as a replacement.
Damraska, Awesome weathering on the undercarriage.
steviecee, Cool kit and history. Have fun.
Coming to the end guys. Good luck finishing your projects.

Tamiya Sd.Kfz. 232 Armored Radio Car
Checkin in to report decals are down. Gettin close to the end.
…
@panzerman1 That is really neat forced perspective diorama. Very creative.
The hull with bottom plate sanded and primed
the superstructure attached and showing large gaps on both sides. I taped off the lower hull so the portholes did not get filled by the putty I use as gap filler
The gap has been filled, sanded, primed then re-sanded and re-primed to correct the gap
