Well. Looks like you’re hitting the big time now, James. :+1:

:laughing: LOL! Thanks, Reynier. It’s going to be more of benefit for Elefant b/c the monetary gain for me is very little. I don’t have the time to go bigger, and I like my day job. Plus, I told them that I am not that good with CAD yet.

Nice to get some recognition for your efforts and time spent, not to mention the excellent quality of your work. :+1: :+1:

:joy::joy: yeah that’s it.

Been busy this past week. Some prints from this past weekend:
Sci-fi stuff, which is a departure from my usual genre.

My Marquettee 1/35 Valentine Mk III kit was missing several parts so I’ve CADed and 3D printed them:

Lastly, the 1/35 medium load tow bars printed successfully this time!

$3.50 each in 1/35.

Kind regards,
James

And something more niche CADed over the weekend. Airbrake connector for US WWII trucks:

This glad hand needs to be modified to depict the older version:

I second that. I already placed an order for the tow bar and some other stuff. the bar will end up in front of one of my tanks.

The medium tow bar is used on lighter vehicles like M113 and trucks. Tanks use the larger heavy tow bar.

The gladhands look awesome. Can you modify them to be modern ones w/out the shut-off valves?

@SableLiger Reynier,
Gino is correct. I’ve designed and 3D printed the Army med. duty tow bar, which has a weight limitation of 65,000 lbs.

These are used on trucks and Humvees.

If you want the heavy duty tow bar used on tanks like below:

or like what Gino showed above, please let me know, and I can CAD and reprint.

FYI: the same heavy duty type is an included accessory in Dragon’s 3535 Abrams M1A1 AIM kit btw.

So medium or heavy duty?

@amoz02t, can you let me know, too? Thank you.

Kind regards,
James

Hi Gino,
Can you show some high resolution reference photos of the modern connectors w/out the shut-off valves?
I am not too familiar with the subject so I need help figuring out the shapes.

Kind regards,
James

Medium for me please. Both the assembled and disassembled tow bar items in medium. Many thanks James!

They are basically what you have minus the valves. Here they are on the back of am LMTV.

The slotted end is a dummy handle that seals them off when not in use.
