I just found this thread. Are these sets for sale? I would love to get one for the Chinook I hope to order.
Some successful prints from last night:
M151 improvement parts:
Where they should go:
Revised grills:
A1:
A2:
A1 steering wheel:
Fuel caps. Letters came out nicely:
Early and late versions:
24 volt connector cap:
The 3D printer even attempted to put letters on the top - these things are tiny, tiny:
M151 wire catcher:
M4A3 add-on armor
This looks almost like a 1/1 scale WWII Sherman EEC.
Hilarious! It does after you said it.
T-55 light guard WIP… While I was trying to play safe for printability, the rods may be a bit thick.
Plus, there are so many variants of it, right?

I’m calling this T-55 light guard CAD done.
Haven’t tested how it 3D prints in 1/35 yet. Uploading it to my cults3d.com page soon.
Fairly satisfied with how 1/35 T-55 light guard turned out:
It was much thinner than Takom’s kit part. Quite happy wit the print:
Many thanks to Temma-san (天馬順平) M4A3E2 シャーマン ジャンボ 1/48 タミヤ改造 M4A3E2 Sherman Jumbo Tamiya Conversion, I was able to obtain a very nice CAD file of M4 VVSS suspension to work with. Despite all the haters’ suggestion of simply buying Asuka’s AM set, now I can use these to print as many as my heart’s content.
Still WIP - need to revise them a bit to fit 1/35 M4 Sherman kits.
More later.
OK, WIP. AN/VSS-01. I think it’s a good start. The canvas cover wrinkles were too hard to do for my skill level…

More to come.
While we’re on the subject of the M60s searchlight. Have you considered doing the smoke dischargers with the canvas covers?
I think this style is also common on all variants of both the M60 and the M1 Abrams, except for the USMC M1A1 FEP.
Sure, I already have the Abrams style smoke grenade launcher with the cover on in my ever growing list of to-CAD-list… Haha
Looks good so far.
Some prints over the Labor Day weekend:
Experimented 3D printing ratchet tie down in 1/35 scale. Printed OK but removing the supports will be a big pain.
Coffee mugs in 1/35.
those tie-downs look nice. Add some laser cut straps from HGW Models (sold through Burbank House of Hobbies).
They look great for 1/35th scale.
Thanks guy, I’m good, I am already putting the final touches on the covers.
Sounds good. I can’t wait to see how the searchlight is going to look on my 1/72nd M728 CEV!
Thank you. I’ll keep you posted on when I receive the package.
Some other things I 3D printed lately. Rod bending tool. I was able to bend some plastic rod nicely without breaking.
