Successful 3D prints of Merkava ball chain armors in 1/35. Details came out nice but fragile due to size:

I tried horizontal (flat 0), vertical (90 degrees), and angled (45 degrees) prints. For me, horizontal printing worked the best for support detachment w/out damage:

AAVP-7A1 “straight leg” (pre-RAM/RS) sprocket CAD is done. Should be heck a lot more accurate than whatever is available in the market:

Made some more improvement by embossing a serial? number like the reference photo. Not that it would show up in 1/35 but you know it’s there.

Wow. Just wow… there would be a lot of interest in those.

Hi Peter,
Thank you for your support. @AmTrac1833 already ordered about 100 USD worth of AAVP7A1 sprockets so I’m simply fulfilling the order. Next up is the newer sprocket for RAM/RS version like below:

RAM/RS sprocket CAD done! I am not aware of any of this version on the market currently. This may be the only accurate replica of it. Many hours of work…

Ready to 3D print!

Kind regards,
James

CH-47 Chinook fuselage rib frames CADded for the Trumpeter kit. This was a frustrating project because my CAD software kept crashing and freezing - couldn’t handle multiple holes and curves. Had to get some external help…
Became a rivet counter literally and added the rivets in CAD (probably not going to be noticeable in 1/35). This is to fill the gap of Cobra Company’s out of production AM product: CH-47 Chinook Cabin Structure detail set, Cobra Company 35022
Anyways, it’s ready for 3D print.

CADded the US 50 cal ammo box. Should be a fairly accurate depiction of the Cold War and on version:

Print success! AAVP sprockets in 1/35 and 50 cal. ammo boxes in 1/16. Still need to air-dry; take them off the supports, and UV cure to finish.

Older “straight leg” AAVP sprockets:

One more thing CADded for @Sherb. Modern US 20L fuel can.
Had too much fun embossing and spent too much time doing it.

The ammo and jerry cans here are printed in 1/35 scale?

Hi Stuart,
Actually, they were printed in 1/16.

Fuel cans printed in 1/16 for @Sherb.

Embossing is visible in 1/16.

In 1/35:

Unfortunately, embossing was not visible under magnification:

May have to overscale them to compensate.
