Airfix 1/24 Spitfire Mk IX finished

I loved building this, it’s a wonderful kit. Finished as Mk IXc EN398 flown by Wing Commander James Edgar “Johnnie” Johnson, No 402 Squadron “City of Winnipeg” Royal Air Force Surry, England, Summer, 1943. All markings are painted on. Paints used are MRP, weathering is done with artist oil paint washes and AK wethering pencils. My build of the kit is here: Airfix 1/24Spitfire Mk IX build. Somehow I missed the finished images as well … very remiss of me …it looks terrific . Decals and markings are superbly done… Whole Spit looks amazing

If I remember correctly, many years ago you published a Spitfire step by step with very detailed photos. I remember that’s where I discovered CLEAR, which I still use… Are you the same Holdfast?

The biggest issue with this kit is that it has the top engine cowling and undercarriage (torsion scissors are on the front of the leg instead of rear) from a late IXe, so cannot be built as an early IXc. Airfix made a big boo boo there.
