So now the finished model with everything glued on…
Thanks for the nice campagne, good luck to everyone still to finish!

That looks great!
Looks beautiful Bert! Great to see one in Dutch colours.
Think I finally solved the weight problem today.
Plenty stuck behind the IP, little more in the nose gear bay and some big lumps milliputted into the engine nacelles. Added some strips behind the part that makes up the cooling gills for a little extra.
And she stays level!
Now I can crack on with getting it all together.
Great finishes on both Jespers @SGTJKJ and Bert’s @bwilt … Nice to see 2 totally different schemes, and both done superbly ![]()
Thanks Johnnyy!
@phantom_phanatic : If you have the same kit as me you can fill up the nose wheel bay as well, you dont see anything inthere …
Here’s where I am tonight. I keep thinking I’d like to get to sanding, but …
I keep realizing I’m going to need to add more parts. I’d like to do the sanding filling without the cockpit attached, but I’m not sure that’s going to be possible. The side parts are clear and fit perfectly, but one now has a glue spill on it. I think that’s the 4th glue spill I’ve had on this. None have been large and two of the three were fairly easy to clean up - I think this one will be harder.
So far, the fit is good, but not great. The wings were a bit of trouble - the spar things that run through the fuselage have no obvious place to line up. I ended up breaking one, but I think the wings are going to be in a good position in the end. The fit on the bottom of the plane is not as good as the top, which is better than the other way round
. The fit on the bottom of the engines is a little gappy, but I think they will be fine with a little filler.
Nice kit. I don’t know why I’ve been so clumsy…
Beautiful build, Bert! Love the subtle panel lining and shadows.
Congrats on finishing ![]()

Bert and Jesper, wonderful builds! Congratulations on completing your birds. From the looks of things, it appears that strafers are ruling the roost!
Indeed, John! Who does not like 10 to 14 forward firing 12,7mm HMGs! ![]()
Still chipping at mine.
Most of the interior parts fitted.
Got the tail turret assembled today with the foil ammunition belts in place. I’ve made the belt tracks from the thinnest cable-tie I had.
And cut to length and super-glued in place.
Just waist guns to sort out next.
Looks great, Stephen! Very nice trick on the cable ties. I will remember that one. ![]()
OK. I need to work on the seem on the spine. I was thinking I would add the glass and mask it, but I’ve decided to just tape up everything that isn’t along that seem and fix that. I think I need to work on the intake vent (I think that’s what it is) above the engine. I’m not sure what that’s supposed to look like, but I’m guessing it is more seemy on the model than on the real thing.
This kit is a little gappy, but nothing that has been too hard to patch. Otherwise it goes together nicely. Hopefully the glass in front will line up cleanly.
I promised some photos of the B-25 in the (semi) finished diorama. The B-25 will have an additional wingman with a Thunderbolt at a later date.
This is actually a combination of my entries for the LUV, P-51, and B-25 campaigns. It is thought to show Operation Thursday.

That looks great Jesper and the display is brilliant.
Good to see an oldie built up so well.
Incidentally, I’ve had a Matchbox B-25 arrive today that I got cheap. Just to use up some decals on.
Some small progress today.
I’ve trimmed the barrels off the waist guns and drilled for the brass replacements. Fitted these to the glazed parts and then fitted to the fuselage sides.
When these are dry and secure, I’ll fit the foil belts and close it all up.
I’ve also been working on blending in the engine nacelles to the wings. These were a little sloppy and have needed some filling and sanding.
I’m off work this week so I’m hoping to get more done. Got a couple of other jobs in the house, but should get some time for the B-25. Tomorrow, it’s all the thrills and spills of re-grouting and siliconing the shower. Oh joy.
Right, shower is finished so now I can back onto the B-25 this weekend.
I’ll give myself 9/10 for the grouting. Went down nice and smooth. 6/10 for the silicone. It’s properly sealed but a little messy. Really horrible, gloopy stuff to work with.
Back to work today.
Got the belts fitted to the waist guns.
Did a few other bits and pieces. Some filling and sanding around the nacelle to wing joins. Making sure everything fits inside the fuselage. Should have it closed up tomorrow.
I can still see a tiny tiny bit of my interior…
