Simply fantastic finish Brian. Certainly a conversation piece.
It has been a pleasure seeing this one evolve, in both threads.

It came out looking awesome. Great finish.
Thanks Peter; I’m not too sure such a beast will ever look “normal” as such, but I’ve tried(!)
Thanks Gino; at times a bit frustrating, but that was down to me, especially my usual wrestle with figures.
Thanks again.
Excellent model Brian! Not sure if the Reds would be able to fight back, with them so busy saying “What is that strange thing?”…
(I love the way the loader is staring off to the side, bored out of his mind on the route march!)
I think, in fact I know, that he’s hoping that the good citizens of Losau include some eye candy on the streets, or at least that’s what I’d be hoping for.
I explained it thus in a somewhat protracted backstory over within my parallel thread “Chrysler TV-8”; I’m afraid I’ve forgotten how to cross reference or link it up - assuming you’re interested that is (!)
He misses his Fraulein!
At the upper right of each message is an indicator of how long ago it was posted (or the date, it if it’s more than about a month ago). Click on that and a window will appear on your screen with the URL of that particular post in it. In that, just click the blue button to the right of the URL:
This copies the link to your computer’s (phone’s, etc.) clipboard, so you can now close the little window. Go and type your reply, where you can now paste (⌘V on a Mac, Ctrl+V on Windows, or whatever way your phone or tablet uses) the URL, which will look like this:
https://forums.kitmaker.net/t/chrysler-tv-8/47891/153
But once posted (and in the preview), it will look like this:
People can then click on the title to go to the message.
If you want an inline link, do it like this:
I explained it thus in a somewhat protracted backstory over within [my parallel thread “Chrysler TV-8”](https://forums.kitmaker.net/t/chrysler-tv-8/47891/153).
That is, put square brackets around the text you want to be clickable, and then put the URL in round brackets immediately after that, with no spaces in between.
This will look like:

Er, right; thanks!
Just get the grandkids to show you, 20 times, like I do
Is anyone else thinking “War of the Worlds”? This thing is too cool for school.
That does fit!
With some dirt on the tyres and the underside of the hull, plus an antenna on the rear, I feel the Piranha PWI is finished:
I took the tyres off, drybrushed a light mud colour over the running surfaces, and spattered that same paint over the lower hull as well as a little over the sides of the tyres. The antenna is 0.3 mm spring steel that I painted OD after glueing it in place.
Nice work! Not quite as filthy as I’d portray it but that’s just me(!)
No, lovely work indeed.
Thanks Part of it is that I just wanted this one finished because it was so close, and I have three other models I’m working on now plus a few more I would like to be working on but won’t let myself yet. Another part of it is that I looked at photos of Dutch Army vehicles on exercise ca. 1990 (in the Nederlandse Troepen book by Tankograd), and most of them were very clean other than some dirt on the lower parts. That could be because most of those photos were taken on or near roads, of course, but it gave me a plausible finish to get this model done
Great job Jakko. A fine addition to your collection.
Thanks It’s already standing next to a Dutch Army Centurion I built right after the first AFV Club kit of those came out
It also depends at what stage in the exercise the pics were taken - I assume they all start out clean!
And they all end up squeaky clean! The motor sergeant at the wash rack won’t take it back until it’s cleaner than when he issued it to you!
