Near the top of this thread John approved a similar vignette of figures without a vehicle, so it sounds like yours should be just fine!
Hi Sam, yes mate - thats perfectly fine (either of them) and looks like the ideal photo to replicate … Vehs are not a pre-requisite for any entry … its all about the photo ![]()
Ok.Thanks! I’m planning on doing both. First issue was to identify suitable figures, which I didn’t have. So I mixed and matched a few from different kits to get the right look. I’ve never done major surgery to figures, and don’t have the putty skills to change existing figures, so I’ve gone with cutting/fitting each one to suit then ‘Greenstuffing’ the heck out of them.
First off are the three bodies for the candid photo;
Then I found bits for the four figures for the posed photo and now have all seven on the bench;
Nice start and looking good ![]()
A slightly different “take” on Build a Photo:
That being; that the model might flow into the background factory photo.
.
Nice idea!
Looking good Bert … That’s a lot of axles !!
I know, looks great doesn’t it, that’s why I didn’t want to take a couple of them off.. ![]()
That green gives it a nice deeper colour over the brown base coat … looks good.
is it is quite rainey weather overhere, we decided to stay at home this weekend, which gave me time to work some more on this one…
Replaced the solid plastic flashing warning lights with a piece of clear sprue..
also on the cabin, and same thing for the turn indicators…
And then used some hairspray followed by Tamiya white, followed by some scrubbing with old brushes..
and offcourse some bits broke off…
I’ve missed this; a lot of work Bert - well done you for just tackling it - let alone getting to the phase you have - which is just stupendous. Well done!
That’s a lovely well used look you have achieved with that UN white paint Bert, well done.
