I will refind the photo with the actual angle that I’ll be replicating and post it here… I can’t remember how much shadow that was showing, but what ever is needed, it will just need the right lighting conditions ….
I’m afraid I might have to cry off this one after all; regrettably, I’m a little bit ill at the moment. That said, assuming this one runs for a year, I might manage a regain; we’ll see.
will have to look for it in a book, tryed on the internet, no joy so far. I was at the one, on the first poland exercise, demerstration to the host nation.
I wondered where this was going! The Haynes books on Chally have pics of the ones cannibalised for their running gear to support those sent to the Gulf - I believe the crews returned from a rotation in Northern Ireland (as ground troops) to find their brand-new “hover tanks” in the shed!
There was also one from BAOR, going over a grass jump at full pelt… I have seen stills of it, and it was also a feature on BFBS news while I was out there…
You’re correct Tom @barkingdigger , also, a few of us D & M instructors went down to Bovi from Windsor and some other units as we had only just finished on Cr1 in Germany and we had maint teams down there changing/ renewing running gear, engines, gun kits etc to bring them up to speed before they shipped over to the gulf.
Does anyone mind if we push this back to 1st March as a start date but still keep it at a 12 months run ? I’m just a bit tied up with other bits and would rather push it back and then be able to monitor it properly?
