Bulgarian WWII Campaign

The “59” is a modification F (ausf. F). You have the decal.
But if you like number “62” better, I can only applaud you for your choice.

Regarding the color of Pz.Kpfw.38 (“62”), my opinion is the same.
Success!

Or if you want to build #63(reg. number B 60063), I can send you decals, Jesper!

I have some leftovers from an old build.

Just to prove I am here and will be taking part… My entry… A trophy Panther G, no Zimmerit as discussed with Angel :+1:

It’s a nicely detailed kit from Dragon so will be completely OOB …I might have to make some red stars and the registration for the rear left bin.
I have to finish the Stillbrew and I really want to get to 90% done on the Build a Photo 2 before I start this one, so looking at mid to 3rd week in Oct. :+1:

There’s no hurry, so take your time, John!

I strongly believe your Bulgarian WWII Campaign Panther build will be a breeze, compared to the one you do for Build a Photo 2 Campaign!

Looking forward,

Cheers,
Angel

I also started cutting plastic in my Horch M.222 build.

Decided to use the rear diff with the gearbox from the Hobby Boss kit, so had to open a gap for the gearbox in Tristar’s compartment floor.

Plus I had to choose which crossmembers to use and to omit when building the Horch frame.

So a lot of guesswork, cutting, trimming, and test-fitting…

Managed to temporarily mount the engine yesterday, but it still sits too low so I need to raise it with at least 3-4 mm.

My Decals arrived today. White seems to be a bit on the yellow side - maybe the decals are old stock?

I need to find a window that does not have tinted UV Film on it so I can try and bleach the white…

These are very nice decals and as you suspect they are old. Bison decals are out of print now for several years. The owner is the sama as Star decals and he does occasionally make decal sheets under Bison decals

Nice hawl Peter!

What if I send you the Simca reg.number from the picture you posted?
In a pdf file, so you can print 2 numbers- either on regular, or decal paper- and use them?

Same applies to the Steyr 1500 from the Armored Brigade HQ. I think I can dig a photo of such Steyr with the reg.number visible.

AMOF- a modelling buddy of mine correldrawed for me the font, used on Bulgarian reg. numbers, and we are in the process of fine-tunning the digits.

Angel

Is the Bulgarian font unique? I haven’t done any research for where to get AHN numbers. That Bison decal sheet might be my best option to make a number mix.

That would be great thanks Angel. I have a clubmate that may be able to print them for me.

It seems so, Ryan!

I spent many hours trying to find a standard font that matches the one used on Bulgarian vehicles. All in vane.

Select a reg. number from the AHN refferencies I sent you and I will ask my buddy to add it to the pdf.

Other than that- Bison decal has the right font, but there is no AHN among the options.

HTH,

Angel

Thanks Angel. B18113 seems as good as any unless you have favorite/better option.

Is thre a way to make a decal sheet of registration numbers, both 1/35 and 1/72 scale of Bulgarian armour?
It will be a great idea, and there might be a market for those

Given it being a unique font, I would say a decal sheet would sell well.

@DennisatAutoloader makes custom decals. The ones he has made for other guys here at Armorama look excellent. If there is enough demand to meet cost, maybe he could be enticed to do a run for those of us interested in getting a set (or two)
