Hello gentlemen!
It is snowing for the second time in Bulgaria. Temperatures are dropping, which is a great reason to pursue a hobby.
This is my little work progress.
I built my Skoda Lt.vz.35, applied the base color, decals and … weathering follows.
Here are some photos:

This is from me for now.
Kind regardsand Cheers!

Looks great Kalin. With the hatches open, you probably see a lot of that nicely done interior.

Cracking job on this so-Bronco-like kit, Kalin!
Well done!

Angel

Well done Kalin, looks very good. Those turret markings and the crosses certainly stand out … Another great build with some lovely added detailing from you…:+1::+1:

Now my Build a photo Panther G is 99% finished, I can get back into this Bulgarian Panther G. I did a few bits last night and will continue later tonight.
A question for Angel or Kalin… For the registration of this one, I will be picking one from the 3 Angel identified in the post we chatted about it in further back… But, what is the correct font that I will need as I will have to do my own I think on decal transfer paper ? I will be free handing the turret red stars.

Hey John,

The easiest way is to ask my buddy to prepare the reg. numbers in question and will send them to you, so you can print them.
But it will take some time because my laptop crashed 2 weeks ago and I’m still having no access to my modelbuilding refference files(and that’s bad)…
I hope this will change next week when I will have the memory disk extracted from the old laptop and installed in the new one,

HTH,
Cheers!

Thanks angel, that’s great. I will go back to that chat in the thread we had and get the 3 registrations and message them to you. Cheers… And of course mate there is no rush for this and painting is a long way off yet :+1:

Just a bit of an update…
The running gear is almost done except the tracks. Will do those over the next few days. (DML magic tracks)

Started to put the hull external parts on. Less those I will be painting by hand like tools etc

All going together nicely with no issues so far. Will do a bit more after work tomorrow.
Angel @ayovtshev , do you think these would of had the tools or would they maybe have gone missing in transit ?

Few more bits chucked on the G…

That’s the external hull parts done less the tools which will go on later after painting.

@ayovtshev , Angel … do you think these G’s or at least a few would of had the chin mantlet or all with the normal rounded ones ? The kit comes with both so I can do either ? I think nearly all the images you’ve shown me come with the rounded version ?

Pretty much done with the hull and turret assembly.

Only larger bit to add is the gun clamp which I’ll do later. I have purposely left off the little bits like hatch handles, headlight and securing pins for spare track and the tow cables as I always break those off or loose them and also the tools as they can be painted on the sprue.
Will put together the magic tracks today and then it’s practically there for the primer coat …

Not sure if I mentioned it but this DML smart kit 6268 is very very nice. Goes together perfectly, not had any issues except one minor one and it’s probably a real OOB build but with high detailing and no real need for PE.
The barrel comes in 1 piece for the main body and a 3 part muzzle break, again nicely detailed. You even get the securing pins for the spare links and tow cable brackets.
Only small issue was the forward cover for the air intake sits to high to allow the turret to sit with the gun forward… That may of been a me issue though so I’m not moaning about it…other than that, this is a kit I will definitely get again.

Great progress, John!

Herewith some (belated) answers to questions you asked earlier:

A picture is worth more than thousand words:

Taken in December 1945 at Poduyane Railway Station in Sofia

I have yet to see a picture of a Bulgarian Panther with chin mantlet.

HTH,
Cheers,
Angel

Got some time today to prime the G…

All over grey and I then did the tracks and engine decks in a Matt black.

I think you have found my weakness Kalin…I always seem to get drawn back to Panthers…:+1:

John, when it comes to vehicles to be hooked on, Panthers are a good choice…

That and the King Tiger… I’m very predictable lol …

Now, I’m in a bit of a dilemma…
I found an old Vallejo Russian Green 096 which I didn’t think looked to bad…
It’s a bit damp still hence the shine.

But I’m not sure if it’s to dark …when you compare it to the AK RC073 protective 4BO…

Thoughts ?? I have never built any WW2 Russian armour so not to sure here …

Either one is an acceptable color but I would go with the Real Color 4BO for accuracy and ease of painting.
