That is outstanding work Sir!

Thanks Jerry, your kind words are much appreciated, .
G, .
Looking great G and the water really makes the whole thing breathe… The water does look so good even at this stage and you still have to keep reminding yourself this is braille scale…amazing work mate.
Sorry for your loss.
The update looks great.
Thanks for the kind feedback John, much appreciated, .

Thank you for your kind words Ryan, they’re very much appreciated my friend, .

Hi all,
Thought I’d include this image, the first layer of ‘water’ has cured and is clear, so a second thin layer was added this morning and now the fish are hopefully a tad more obvious.
Cheers, ,

They look ready for the hook, then the oven G … that is one draw back on things like this and what I found using that AK puddles resin, is the wait time due to only being able to do thinnish layers bit by bit… the end results are worth it, but it adds a lot of time on to the build. Ref your homemade tufts … do the white glue blobs just peel / pop off that plastic backing ? Thats a nice idea doing that and allows for cleaner and more easily trimmed tufts.
Thanks John, and yes I agree about the slowness of creating water this way, especially when it’s relatively deep…and I’m not the most patient of modellers, .
The glue blobs do pop off once they’ve dried clear, just flick them off with a blade. The plastic I use is the inside of a plastic ice cream lid, they’re so versatile. The thing I like about the method is that you can make the tufts any size, or even shape.
G, .
Thats what I was thinking, and pre made does make it easier … may be borrowing that idea mate
Amazing groundwork and water works. There’s so much to take in and to learn from here.
Happy fishing!

Where is me rod!!!
Your river is forming up quite nicely, just as the previous one… My belated condolences too!!!
Thanks for the kind words chaps, much appreciated as always, .
G,
Hi all,
Really slow progress at the moment, very little modelling, or computer time, but a bit of a hiatus between sorting funerals and the next steps, so managed to have a half-hearted play.
I’ve started to add some more foliage around the base of the tree, and also added the trunks for the ivy that will be growing up the bridge.
I need to build a couple of Universal carriers before continuing with the water pouring, but I need to build up the will to tackle the individual track links…not my favourite, .
Cheers, ,
G
There’s not much more in the way of praise I can heap on this G, except it’s bloody brilliant. Your way of doing foliage in this scale is genius and every image above really does look like a real scene with a real tree and bridge in the background… Fantastic work
That is outstanding brother! Not so good news about funerals though. Hope you and yours are doing OK ?

Thanks for the feedback gentlemen, it’s much appreciated, .
G,
Hi all,
I’m trying to get back my mojo, so started on the 1/72nd IBG Universal Carriers, they’re a challenge…sooooo small,
.
The fit of parts is okay, but exact placement of some elements is a tad vague, there’s some simplification of parts, and some tiny parts that have proven fiddly in my sausage-like fingers.
The lack of crew is disappointing, and some major surgery was required to get figures to fit within the cramped front.
One built and primed:
One under construction:
It’s a shame IBG don’t supply the big rolled tarpaulin to the rear, for me it’s one of those items that is seen in most images I’ve looked at.
They will both need some cleaning up, and there is still a third Carrier to be constructed, but below are a couple of images of how they might sit within the diorama:
All feedback, constructive or critical, is greatly appreciated.
Cheers, ,
G
Lovely work on the carrier’s G. The additional bits you are added make all the difference to their look. The whole dry fit and placement looks great so far . The track widths look perfect for that scene
Looks great G , still amazed at your 1/72 work !!!
