Wow, you’re doing a bangin job on your ride. The extra bling is sure nice.
Cool, you going up to the show in Plymouth on the 30th ?
many thanks Erik @Erik67 & Mike @Stryker45 … its time consuming but getting there…
Frank @frank … I keep thinking about it and I genuinely cant remember what we put there (or even if we bothered to use them) … We only had Mk11’s for a bout 3 or 4 months before we chinned them off and got Cr1. We had the new cam system then as well ,so I was thinking that the cam poles all went into a canvas bag that was kept in a long bin, and they may have relocated the cleaning rods to the outside to make space … cant be a 100% though
That’s some spectacular PE work there John. Keep on foldin’ an’ gluin’ teeny tiny parts! My grandson’s hamster needs a vasectomy and I’m sure you’re the man for the job.
They mentioned Trago Mills many moons ago on Mock The Week, said it was a really strange store and it sounded like a Bond villain!!
its certainly an oddity as stores go … I dont even know how to best describe it …
Theres 2 down here and one in Devon and then one near Merthyr in Wales for some odd reason … its the sort of place you wander in not knowing what to expect and looking for some dog food, then come out finding you have spent £150 on crap you didnt want or need …
Cheers Matt… the PE is making my eyes itch, but I think the majority of the small sfuff is done now thank the lord !!
Just spotted this build John, it’s panning out to be yet another superpersonal-superdetailed-superbuild, so really looking forward to following this one closely, .
Amusing to see Trago crop up, I’ve had the odd good book from them, but hadn’t noticed that they do some kits, will check it out next time I visit…which isn’t very often, .
In the 10yrs I’ve been down this neck of the woods I think Antics moved, I’m sure they were situated along the main drag when I first moved to Cornwall, .
G, .
Cheers mate … glad you are tagging along … The kit section isnt very interesting, its only Revell for main models, and a limited supply of AFVs/ships/Cars and aircraft in various scales. They also have a selection of Bandai/Revell Star Wars kits as well. The model section is upstairs tucked away in a corner of the Toy area.
Any idea what will totally ruin your night … Oh, I know … realising that you have lost your Chieftain drivers hatch … its gone … no idea how or when …
Mate, shouldn’t be too difficult to make: laminate a couple of pieces of card, plastic rod for the pivot - job done-ish.
It’ll help if you’ve one from another kit perhaps to use as a template.
Think I may have one from a Takom, was given a vehicle with missing pieces, you would have to wait till next month, when I’m back home, to see if I have one.
Cheers Brian & Frank … all help is appreciated … plus it gives me a month to keep looking …
Oh no! But that’s what happens when you have so many projects on the go at once - you wind up losing stuff. Maybe it’s stuck to your Sherman.
Yeah. I think the Sherman played a part in it… probably fell into the box or got caught up with old used tissue paper that was just in the painting process and chucked …
In fact, As I am WFH today, I am going to do a full workplace strip down and deep delve to check everywhere in the daylight …
I was worried what you were going to say you used tissue paper for John, .
It always surprises me as to how easy it is to lose kit parts/tools etc., I’m doing it all the time, .
G, .
All is good…
Balance to the Force has been restored…
Thanks to my Sith tracking sense I found it !!!
God knows how, but it was behind a pot of paint on the 2nd level … Absolutely no clue how it got there… But I just don’t care… Everything is good
Discuss it here… and thy part shall appear.
Easy now John…slow, deep breaths…in through the nose, out through the mouth…
Lovely work going on here and you have beaten the carpet monster to a part👍result😂
A great feeling! Had the same thing happen last month.
