Convoy!

Yea, I just need to figure what kit. I don’t have one in my stash, so I am looking for a new kit. Not that I don’t have 10 projects going on right now, but I’m in.

So I have ordered this little bundle of madness.

Its the Italeri gun truck.

Now, I did mention post apocalyptic … so bog standard it wont be staying … This will be a weapons/command/small living area platform …

the ideas rattling around at the moment in no particular order are …:

extending the cargo body by about 1.5cm left and right.

Armour plated wheel covers, also using the Cr2 Slat armour PE pack I have in various areas, cannibalising the Panstir S1 I built and using the command section as part of the cargo area, making an upper gun platform on top of that, extended walkways from the drivers and passenger sides of the cab to the cargo area with guard rails. I may also try and incorporate the RWS from my T90MS onto the top of cab or top of the engine cover. … anyway, thats the thought process at the moment.

Sounds cool - can’t wait to see it take shape!

Oh my. It’s been a bit since I’ve built a 1/24 truck. I’m in for sure!

Not sure which version (2- or 3-axle) but it’ll probably be for pulling my car hauler.

I will be entering with this eight-wheeler…

Just kidding! :rofl::rofl::rofl:

Actually, I’m entering with a six-wheeler from Roden.

Mike & Mike, those are cool kits! Those old AMT trucks bring back memories of elementary school. And that LKW is the ugliest truck I’ve ever seen!

This sounds interesting…

I’m not good at campaigns. I have trouble meeting deadlines with so many projects going on. But I do want to make this from the Atlantis Fuel Truck kit in 1/48. I think I’m up to nine of them now. I’ll post photos in the existing Fun with the Atlantis Vintage Gas Truck thread once I start.

I built that White Freightliner as a kid. I really want to do a two axle version just for fun.

So I had nothing in the stash, so I had to go shopping. How horrible… ugh! And I ordered this little guy.

This should be fun. Can’t wait.

Well … This arrived today which I was shocked at as it wasn’t due until the 30th…

So many plans for this … Hope they work out. Will look in the box later for a run down

Just a quick look inside the box without going into any of the bags…

Sprues look quite nice. Nothing spectacular, but more than adequate on first impressions

One very pleasant surprise was the kit comes with rubber wheels and new rims.

And they also leave the plastic spare wheel which is a bonus as I needed one as an extra spare

I would like to join this with a WW1 Liberty truck. It has been sitting on the shelf looking at me for about a year.

Oi ! I resemble that remark.

I meant the fact we are both doing WWI trucks. I will be constructing the 1917 Ford ambulance within the group. However I am 56, so maybe oldie on both accounts. Happy modeling.
