Excellent, nice to have at least one ship in the build. Will be good to see that coming to life.
Ship PE. Heh heh. Where do we bring the straightjacket?
lol! I am definitely nervous about tackling this project. Me and PE don’t get along at the best of times
Too late! completed my two D-Days builds last year, LCT(4) with correct load for Juno Beach at H-Hour+90 mins and LCG(L)939 assigned to beach suppression, Juno Beach, D-Day. Dont think I have anything in the stash except possibly an Airfix Jeep! Currently working on the other 5 European D-Days, Sicily, Salerno, Anzio, Elba, Southern France.
Hope you find something to join in with. They look exceptional
Hope to find Priller’s Fw-190 markings for that day. Then I will builds his plane.
Just giving this a little bump to remind people … its getting closer !!
I just need yet another landing craft, this will be my build
Never built this kit, may reconsider the load
Hull beside my 1/72 LCT876
Good choices both David and Andrew. I had looked at that landing craft as well and could well use it as an additional build during the campaign … all depends what the Sherman is like …
That will look good. Crew added will give it a nice sense of scale as well.
The Sherman is the old thing they’ve been churning out for years. I bought the more recent Cromwell to put in it. That’s a really nice little kit and has deep wading gear already included. If I can can find them, I might do it for the build alongside that Spitfire I planned.
According to Scalemates the Sherman dates from 1961. I like the idea of the Cromwell
Sounds about right. Very simple and always looked underscale. Still, always had a soft spot for it. First Airfix kit I ever built after the Matchbox Hellcat.
5 days to go … prepare to hit the beaches … or prepare to defend the coast …
I’m off to Spain for two weeks, so I’ll be hitting the bars more than the beaches lol.
Question: I have an old beach vignette with 4 semi-built, but unpainted figures.
Is that ok? I have added sand and details, though.
Yes I’m happy with that Ron
Great!
Then I’m in!
