Welcome back, Frank.
The Zooturm was Flakturn I.They did finally manage to bring it down. Flakturm II in the East had to be buried under rubble. Flakturm III in Humboldthain still exists in part, and has been incorporated into a park, I remember the huge graffiti painted on it: Wer Bunker baut wirft Bomben.
Definitely watching. If aiming for abslute historical accuracy I believe the Zooturm had a twin 12.8cm Flakzwilling 40, as did the other two towers.

Edit:
My bad. That graffiti was painted on the Anhalter Bahnhof Bunker.

Indeed. I wonder if there’s any crossover to the “My wife hates the honby” thread.

Beautiful work man !!! Thanks for the sandbags/milliput splainer , I was just about to ask how you did the sandbags . You don’t hate the hobby , you hated the process and time making those beautiful sandbags , … till you finished them and saw how good they came out !!!

The dio is based on the wonderful parts of Helmuth’s Strongholds:

as a base for the tower:

The rest is scratchbuilt by me using mdf, cardboard and plaster:

The ammunition elevator cupolas are 3D prints also from Helmuth’s Strongholds:

and the ammo shelves:

128mm is from Takom:

https://www.scalemates.com/de/kits/takom-2023-128cm-flak-40-zwilling--945201

And the light FLAK is Trumpeter based.

Ammo is from different sources the bigger shell cases are scratched from brass… .

Sandbags are mostly milliput (ca.: 1500), a few Tamiya (5 sets) and 100 are from “green stuff World” the sawdusttype!

Figures are next…
