The countdown begins.
One Month to go to kick off.
Still interested for the group built but I’m not sure I will start this one immediately, because I still have a hard resin kit in progress for another group built I have to finish before.
Curious, what kind of 3D printed parts are you adding? I have this kit too which will be built in the next year.
Mike
James Lee has created a few parts and I am sure he will include these.
3D prints and CADs Part 2 - by petition2God - #625 by Petition2God?
Just over two weeks to kick off. What do you think of this for the badge?
Is the psychedelic ribbon too much?
I was going to add covers to the underside of the fuel tank and battery box, along with a corrected rear floorboards, a corrected steering wheel, gas tank cap and front suspension arms.
this is what the completed kit’s underside looks like; same with the M151A2.
This is what it SHOULD look like (from Vodnik’s website).
Cool badge !
I second man.
Groovy! The ribbon fits “LUVin” perfectly, for those of us old enough to remember!
I think I might do a TOW M151A2.
I am sure there are quite a few of us old enough to remember, Matt.
It would be great to see you come on board with another M151. The more the merrier.
Some are the byproduct of too much “LUVin”.
@SSGToms Matt, could you please remove this thread from the Staging Area and set it up as an active build. Thank you.
Done.
Thanks Matt. You are a Gentleman and a Scholar!.
Guys I will be a late starter here, but I look forward to seeing you start your builds though.
Made a start on my ICM Ford LCP today.
Typical ICM. Cleanly moulded and not an insane amount of parts.
Started with the engine and rear cargo bed. No problems to report. A few ejection pin marks on the bottom of the mud guards needed a bit of filler.
A nice little kit by all accounts Stephen. I have it in the stash but keep bumping it. I’m looking forward to see what you do with it.
The bed went together really quickly. Just have to watch alignment and keep it all square. The chassis has a few fiddly delicate bits though. But I don’t see any major problems. Have to admit I do have a soft spot for ICM, they do some good stuff and they’re not expensive.
Must do a bit of research into the Middle East campaign in WW1. Short of Gallipoli and Lawrence of Arabia’s antics, I know next to nothing.
David Fromkin’s book “A Peace to End All Peace” is an excellent read.
Thanks, I’ll have a look for that.
