I still believe this vehicle is still a good use as a tow launcher. The vehicle is only waist high. You should be able to visually hide most any where.

One thing I’d love to find is the old 106mm recoiless rifle version of the M151A1.

Academy made a kit a while back, so they may be available, but pricey…

And Verlinded did a conversion kit, which doesn’t look too hard to copy using pieces from both the M151A1 and A2 TOW Jeep.

Can harvest the RR from the Academy M113A1 and fabricate the rest…

I use zip-lock baggie materiel for clear vinyl windows. Cut it a little bigger than the window and super glue them on. Then hit them quickly with a hair dryer and it will shrink them and pull them tight.

That’s a clever idea. I’ll try that. :+1:

Painted and decals applied. Still needs some dirt and a clear coat, plus work on the canvas top.

Ooh! Just realized it needs the stars.

There. Much better.

Getting closer to the paint barn before anything else can be done. You can also see why the swimmawagen wheels won’t work.

I sold a big 4 bedroom plus 4 person office home Reynier. Just me and SWMBO now, the 3 boys and their partners have all bought their own homes, so just too much for us now. We are looking for the last home we will have, before we drop off the perch. We are hoping to find something suitable in the Bayside areas of Greater Brisbane, somewhere between Wynnum and Redland Bay.

The Ford M151A2 has grown rapidly. Very nice work.

The amphib is also coming along nicely Ryan.

Good luck house hunting. Looks like there’s a lot of good choices in that general area, especially closer to Redland Bay.

Great to see everyone’s builds coming along nicely.

Little more work on the Ford today. Mostly cleaning up and getting rid of a few annoying ejector pin marks. Two very noticeable ones on the door frames.
One thing I will mention to anyone who has this kit, or any of ICM’s other Fords is test fit everything! While the fit is good overall, I did find a little adjustment and whittling was needed in a few places.
For example here, the bit circled in red needs reducing in height so the upper part fits properly.

Nothing done, other than open the plastic, but it’s a beginninggggg.

Aside from spilling my Mig super-thin glue all over, thankfully missing plastic but smearing and saturating the instructions, it has been pretty straight forward.

Well, at least you got that out of the way now rather than later.

Looking good.

My build is going to have to be on hold for a few weeks as I’ve had to pack things away while we have some much needed work done on the house. New windows, doors and the loft is being reinsulated and boarded. Be well worth it in the end. Will have plenty more storage space in the loft so I’ll be able to move back into my man cave and get a bit more time for model building this year.

Gotta love those silver linings!

That’s what I keep saying. A lot of cash paid and a few days of inconvenience, but worth it. The house will be better as well as adding on a little more to the value.
Although no doubt I’ll find something else to fill it with though. Already thinking of getting a second desk to setup my old Amigas and Mega Drive. The dream setup of my childhood.
