Gimme Some LUVin' Group Build

This thing is just incredibly cute. I went looking for one myself and found a Fine Molds kit. The top is down on the FM kit.

Peter, the kit is a pig to fit together. Very small locating point, when there are any at all. For a 5 year old kit theres a lot of flash, and some odd choices for construction. There are joint rivets that need to be cut off the sprue then added to the joints that are affected by the flash, where other parts have these rivets already on.

A lot of the body is simple butt joints and getting everything to line up requires the use of several versions of very colourful language.

That being said is does build up into a beautiful, if very small kit. Pictures to follow later this evening

I think Fine Molds and Pit Road are tied together somehow. Not 100% certain of that though. I saw the FM version, but I rather like vehicles that come with a top.

All ready for painting. The figures needed a little filling around the arms, especially the rider to make sure he held the handlebars correctly

The build of three SAS jeeps has started. The Dragon jeep is better detailed than Tamiya, but the instructions are crap. Luckily there is a ton of jeep references online. Wheels are only temperary attached.

Here’s the one I will be building…

Nice kit which is a base for a lot of resin conversions.
Mad Modellbau from Germany is an example.

I took advantage of my last days of parental break to apply the camouflage and prepare the markings.

Hi V1kt0R, that is a great looking Wolf, love the sand and your windscreen👍

Progress on my little Wolf, building this in paintable parts, I like this kit a lot, great fit, nice parts, good details👍

Here’s my update. Just put the wheels on and the windshield glass. Still have a few minor bits and then checking for paint touch-ups before I put on the markings. Time to be ultra careful when the spindly bits go on.

Great work guys. Lots of nice builds to look at now I am back online.

After I finish unpacking the moving boxes, I will be able to start on my Gecko ATMP.

As this one is going pretty fast, I thought of a way to make it a bit more interesting…
“how about an opened door?”
Yeah, great… cutting open a door while half the car is already assembled isn’t the way one should do it, more so because you have to cut through two layers of plastic, the inside and the outside of the door, but…

And than it was time to add some of the extra plastic bits I have lying around…

Nothing like doing it the hard way Bert, but it paid off. The open door really adds some interest.

Thanks Peter.

I think I got some primer on, I’m sure I saw it somewhere in this box…
