IDF 75 Campaign

I know I’m a little late to the party here but I’m in. Now to just figure out which IDF vehicle in the stash to do.

Finally chose the kit I’m going with for this build.

Nice choice Josef, I built this for Centurion group build… Very nice kit … You need a AM Manlet though… Unless you scratch one of course :+1:

It is always nice to see another Centurion build. :+1:

I am almost ready for primer myself, the only thing left to do is add the conduit to the .50 cal and the wirecables.

Turret antiskid in progress:

Finished product:

The model will get a good dusting before spraying the primer by using my airbrush to blow all the dust off.

After the first layer of primer I will check the antiskid for any spots I missed or areas that need to be cleaned of it.

Looking very good Niko’s… The anti slip really adds another realistic level to it :+1:

Sprayed the first layer of primer to see how the antiskid looks, I think I am 99% happy with how it looks and the coverage, some corrections and minor cleanup need and we are good to go.

Looks nice Nikos, am I correct in thinking that you painted sections with Mr Surfacer, then sprinkled the aquarium sand direct onto that ?

Brush painted Mr Surfacer, sprinkled the sand direct onto the surfacer, let it dry a bit, shake the model to clean the excess and repeat. Because the surfacer dries quickly I cover small areas each time and work all around the model.

@gtdeath13 Nice work, Nikos!

As for my build, the first layers of colour have been applied.
I used a Tamiya-mix as suggested here:Which colour for your IDF vehicle?, being 33% XF-57 Buff + 33% XF-59 Desert Yellow + 33% XF-20 Medium Grey.
The images show the result fairly well.

The work is moving forward slowly… but I prefer Afv models…

Nearly finished my entry for this campaign… just slings to add to the weapons, add the weapons to the halftrack and men, and ad an antenna…

You’ve done a fantastic job with all these IDF builds Bert… Each being a unique build and all the painting and weathering and crews, and kit and stowage…

What an undertaking… Superb

Added the final details to my M113A3 Nag’mash.

Hopefully I’ll have this painted and decal’d up this weekend.

Looking very nice Reynier

From right to left:
Merkava MIIID late type turret armor Meng
Merkava MkIIID early type turret armor Hobby Boss
Merkava MkIIIBaz Meng

I am thinking of adding some missing details on the HB kit, even though at the moment it feels like a lost cause due to the way the turret looks (way shorter than the Meng one, as if squashed) and the height of the suspension (which is my fault during assembly).

Next on the assembly line is probably the hardest one, Mk3 Ramaqh (early production MkIII in the early 90s)

Nice trio Nikos… To my untrained Merkava eye I would never of noticed any issues … Good looking builds :+1:

So out of all the makers of Merkava’s, Academy, Meng, HobbyBoss, which do you think gives you the easiest build, while still be accurate out of the box?
