IDF 75 Campaign

It is on my to build list for this GB once I am done with my MkIII Merkavas. Do you want photos?

I’ve got a few in the Desert Eagle M113 volumes but I’m always up for more, thanks!

Nice choice of kit! I’ve built DML as both A1 and A2, and they are both pretty cool. (You may want to see my review here: https://archive.armorama.com/review/12612/index.htm) The DS tracks in all of my kits have been good, so don’t shy away if yours aren’t already sticky! But the DS mantlet covers are poor and should be thrown away - either AM or old-school tissue/glue is your best bet. Can’t wait to see how you get on!

DS is not sticky so I should be ok with them. Been doing a lot of old school lately so the mantlet cover seems like a good candidate.

M752 ready for painting, and in the meantime … I bought a started model and somehow it flew … it will of course be Israeli with a white marking …

Of the extras, only resin wheels from Panzerart…
I wonder what to pack for it?.. Will you help?

Thank you @ReluctantRenegade for pointing that out,Is it the Czech “Topas” have 2 bulge on the front and access doors on both side?

Are you sure about Israel using the Zil-157?

No photos but last night I got the upper and lower hull together without any problems. barely visible seam taken care of with a file. This morning the lower hull fitting for the wheels went. Will post photos once the lower hull is complete.

The IDF mounted captured BM-24-12 rocket launchers removed from Zil-151s on Zil-157s. At least one battalion of these vehicles saw combat in the Sinai front during the Yom Kipur War.

NO WONDER I CAN’T FIND ANY M548 KITS OUT THERE; STOP HOGGING THE KITS. LMAO.

Waste not, eh?
Damn, you have to really admire the IDF. The masters of recycle and reuse!

I think that is the only use of the Zil157, the IDF did not use them as general cargo carriers. I could be mistaken though.

I think they did, at least a few:

On a side note, I never thought the IDF used the GAZ-66 - until I saw this:

Looking at the Heavy Barrel FAL in thf picture; reminds me of my own Israeli FAL.

Built on an original kit with Israeli marked receiver and barrel.

After lunch I decided to finish the upper hull on the Magach. It’s 5 pieces 2 of which attach to the upper hull sides. Fit was pretty good but still needed to fill a few gaps. While waiting for that to dry(still waiting) cleaned up the road wheels and assembled them.

Somewhere I saw a photo of a Zil 157 with a white stripe on the hood and I will suggest it…

Has anyone have any experience with thew Panzer Art M68 barrel for the Magach series of tanks? Curious to see how it fare versus the original Meng parts for my Gal Batash build.

Magach 7 (for comparison).

The accordeon is under scale and should be different for Magach 6M, 7A and 7C then the one for 6B Gal and 6B Gal Batash.

I dont know why they used six straps on the front end, all covers have five.

Use the Meng parts, they are nice.
