Busy weekend
Ok found my entry, this is my victim the AFV Club M60A1 Magach 6B. Let’s just hope I can finish this one as my campaign completion rate is not great.
I have that one in the stash, interested in seeing how it builds up.
Some work completed on the Merk, and getting closer to painting !!
Parts for the Sensor
In the background is the Comd MG being glued.
Build up of the droid with PE parts going on
And fully assembled
With Vallejo mask on the optics.
.50 mount.
And Comd’s mount. Still not sure if I’m going to add the MG.
And ready for paint.
Doing very nice work there John.
Hi all
I’ll join the campaign later on as I’m a bit busy currently.
My entry will be the AFV club M109 Doher or Academy Merkava 2D.

Looks great.
Might have to try that method for non-slip someday.
Highly recommended for this type of surface, in fact, its probably going to be my go to method of doing anti slip from now,
Yes, I am looking at method myself, seeing how well yours has turned out John.
Worked some more, added racks, magazines to mg’s, drilled out the mg barrels… and first time for me, replaced handles..
Still have to drill out the exhausts…
Great detailing Bert. Looks super
Not sure that is necessary. I could be wrong but I believe the cover is tilting upward under the pressure of the exhaust gas.
Olivier
You are right, there will be a cover but I am not sure how much of the exhaust is visible afterwards…
I don’t mean the PE part. The exhaust has a round flap hinged at the top. Hobby Boss missed the hinge.
Looking at my reference books I found that many Puma didn’t have the flaps. So I guess you can safely drill out the exhausts.

Replacing the mud guards of the side skirts…
Original version inplastic, one with foil… but somehow I think the foil is a bit too thin… so also one made up from 0,25 mm plasticcard…
What do you guys think?
Reason I find the foil version too thin: the fold very fast, and once folded it’s hard to get them flattened propperly.
Then again, because they dont go completely flat again, they look more like damaged rubber mud guards… hmmmm…
If I decide to go for the plasticcard version, I will change the other foil mudguards as well… because I already had my doubts about those…
Personally, I would go with the plasticard, the foil looks a bit to thin to and could do with being 3 or 4 times as thick again. The plasticard can still be sanded back on the rear if it needs it.
That is what I did on my Merk IV, I sanded the front and rear areas and the bottom edge of the kit part and they looked good enough.
I agree, plastic.
Once glued, you can try a heat source like wood burning tool to slightly warp the “rubber” plastic to give that not tight look of rubber.
