Would this work as an entry for Korea: 1950-1953?
Sure hope the M26A1 works. I’ve got one in 1/72. It’s too late for my F3D, I already started that one.
Yes, it was used by Marines til the M46 showed up. I believe the Army also used them but not as familiar with their use and deployed.
I am in with F4U5N Hasegawa in 1:48 scale ! ![]()
OK, let’s do it. Starting now!

I will build the old Monogram Panther in 1/48 scale. Aftermarket so far is the equally ancient Eduard p/e set, and if the decal sheet holds together markings will be for the “Blue Tail Fly”.

Built it several years ago. IIRC if you opt for the Value Gear stowage set you need to leave off the rack on the right side of the turret as the VG set has the stowage and the rack as one piece. Maybe it’s the left side. Anyway check to be sure.
Quite possibly still the best F9F available.
I’m leaning towards the MiG. I’m working on the Kinetic F-86 from my shelf of doom right now and am actually making progress. Having a MiG-15 to go with it would look good. Here’s the kit:
First release, I think.
And here it is with the extra goodies I’ve accumulated over the years:
I honestly have a couple of concerns about some of them, but we’ll see, I guess.

Ready to change decade from the last three builds…
…so the Tamiya M26 Pershing is on,the work bench…
Starting with the most boring part, cleaning up wheels…
Getting closer to wrapping construction…
@Armorsmith, DV thank you for the heads up and warning. I still sleep walked directly into slapping the rack on the turret side!
Offically Stalled, waiting on aftermarket parts…
…just can’t abide installing these…they are OK but not what I want for the model…I’d thought I could let this stuff slide but feel guilty slapping these 2nd rate parts on this quality American tank model when no indulgence was spared on a Late Tiger build a few weeks ago.
…likewise…
So when the Aber barrel, Fruilmodel tracks & Asuka .50 cal arrive will update.
I’m going to jump in with this old Matchbox Skyknight I started last year. Didn’t get very far besides from cleaning up the old glue joins (second hand and part started).
Decals in this are long past their best, but luckily I have a couple more with better decals.
This one should be nice but my Mig-15 is on the bench for a few months… if I find something in my stash I’ll jump in for sure.
Cleaning & preparing Fruilmodel tracks for the M26 Pershing.
-
One side of tracks barely required clean up, nearly perfect. Even the guide teeth were cast clean and open on 65% of the link and easy to clean up the others. Excellent Quality
-
The other side, 3mm pour tabs on 50% of the links, nasty burrs and every hole flashed over. Difficult to clean out guide teet none were just lightly flashed over. Low Quality
Anyway, keeping with cleaning nasty white metal tracks, decided do an ultrasonic clean full cycle 3x for each side. Testing a new cleaner that’s worked great in the kitchen.
Let me clarify about the possibility of participation with this kit from Trumpeter.
There is no doubt that the M-30 howitzer took part in that war, but this model is called an early version, I do not yet know which version took part in those battles.
I have alternative options, but I would like to join the company with this howitzer.
I don’t see any reason why not. I’m guessing they would have used it, early or late, until it became unservicable.
